It's better than I expected, with the RTX settings as low as they will go and DLSS set to Performance, I get 30-40 FPS @ 1440p with an RTX 2080.

I couldn't care less about FIFA or the other sports games from EA. I was looking forward to Jedi:Survivor though, hopefully it won't have this shit tacked on. It's a single player game and EA is only the publisher so there's a chance...
'Deckard' is apparently the codename for a possible standalone Valve VR headset

I guess they want to compete with the Oculus Quest, so an actual self-contained VR headset. They would have to hit the 450-550 $/€ price point to be competitive though.

Quoting: BeamboomBut with "standalone" do they mean simply wireless, or an actual internal computer that makes the set not require external computing power? If so that surely must make the set more expensive, not less?

I liked it. More difficult than Doom 2016, stingy with the ammo, you really have to use every gameplay element to beat it even on lower difficulty.

Quoting: slaapliedjeIs Doom Eternal good? Last Doom I played was the one from 2016 and I still haven't beaten it.

I'm really tempted... I got the XPS 13 Developer Edition in 2013 and it was really great but it's starting to show its age. I wish it wasn't so damn expensive

The way I do it (xubuntu):
- Download the driver
- chmod +x on the package
- log into to tty1, run > sudo service lightdm stop
- launch the package, follow the instructions
- sudo service lightdm start
there you go, there's a chance you might have to do it again next time you update you kernel.
I'm getting 120+ FPS @ 1440p Ultra Nightmare settings now :) (RTX 2080)

A lot of Denuvo games work with Proton, they even corrected Denuvo-related bugs recently for Arkham Knight and Just Cause 3

Quoting: lejimsterI'm a bit confused. Is Doom Eternal working or not on Protom yet? Unless denuvo is supported in proton I'm guessing we will have to wait like we did with Doom?
