I hope they clean up the UI, it seems very messy to me. That said I dont play many card based games at the minute the only one being Gwent that I have to do via WINE.

Lets not get hysterical over this. Yes Paradox developed games tend to be DLC heavy but games merely published by them have always been more than reasonable. PoE, Cities, Tyranny all as examples.

Quoting: AresoBe careful, this is Paradox with their ill of DLC (i.e. of DLC pricing).
Probably I will buy this one somewhere in early 2020-ies.

The thing I noticed is the stuttering in the video - Is gameplay smooth yet? Im happy to tune my graphic settings but expect the game not to have constant framedrops and stutters while playing.

The only weird thing I noticed was that the water doesn't look quite right. There is something "low res" going on there. Is that normal or one of the remaining issues for Wine?

Small site update in regards to the moderation queue, which is now live on article comments

In this regard its a lose lose situaton, some people will always view moderation as just someone shutting down opnions they dont like, but it you dont moderate the toxic stuff then the comments become a hate filled battleground.
I guess we will have to trust Liam and the moderators who manage this to be fair. What would perhaps be a nice halfway house would be if the comments moderates where instead of deleted where 'hidden' with the option for users to enable themif they really wanted to.

Wine Staging 2.8 released with more functional 32-bit fake DLLs and Starcraft I should now work properly

Well given how the witcher 2 was ported using EON I agree that a wrapper would have been the expected port style. But not the only choice CDPR could have gone the whole hog and natively ported.
But yes I see your point if it was just going to be a wrapper, then better to have all the required functions / features in WINE so that they can benefit other games and applications.

Quoting: ShmerlThe way it could have been "ported", could clearly only have been a wrapper. In this sense, I'd prefer Wine to support it properly.

Ooh, I have this one (though not the expansion so will throw money Feral's way for that). Defginately one of my favourite Total War entries.
Its a shame that cross platform multiplayer will exclude Windows; I feel this is a ongoing problem with ports that has 2 effects.
1. Some people just wont buy the port with this limitation.
2. People who could be swayed over to Linux from windows will see this and view it as areason not too as they would miss playing with their firends on windows.
Not entirely Ferals fault here as it would require change of network/multiplayer code on windows as well, and way beyond my abilities!

Looks interesting, definately like this sort of game. Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against Maia as that is a very similar concept.

Oh same I have Gwent going in WINE; had an issue with Galaxy when it updated to 1.2.6 but since resolved. Enjoying playing but would vastly prefer it was native.

Got Gwent via Galaxy running under wine 2.5 staging a few days ago and have played a few dozen of casual matches since.
Please note: Installed BEFORE yesterday's major update of Galaxy.
Posted my results HERE on Winehq
