The English language is especially weird as alot of words can have several interpretations depending on context(some as in this case conflicting), often this is at odds with other languages that do not have so many words open to interpretation and this means what you think is a clear translation means something radically different in actuality.
However on topic its good to hear this is resolved I need a space fix since elite isnt available to me anymore.

While I would have loved cross platform multiplayer, this isnt something we can 100% blame Feral for. If CA used a windows only method for syncing or other networking math then unless an exact copy exists for Linux they cant be expected to get crossplatform multiplayer with windows working.
With Mac however I fully expect Feral to be able to allow that as they will build both multiplayer components.

Thanks, I probably read those when it was posted, but good stuff. However its all for less demanding games where even an integrated GPU can handle the work. I am curious specifically about the demanding games that the porting houses are bringing to us as they stretch the limits of a MAC's hardware much more given that they cant just upgrade the CPU / GPU etc on a whim like Linux/Windows users.
But thats all for another article perhaps, here is about how much I want TW:Warhammer :)

Quoting: omer666Have a look at that article from some incredible website:

It's getting old but I think it's still relevant.

You know I would be very interested in a rough breakdown in how Port sales are split between Mac and Linux for the like of Feral, Aspyr and VP, even more so on a game to game basis as it would be illuminating to see what % sales Linux gets of 'Demanding' AAA titles compared to Mac. Is it 50/50 or does Mac still have a lead due to the historical larger install base.

Quoting: omer666When you look at all these AAA games ported by Feral, you can't help but think that Linux gaming is still tightly tied to Mac gaming. I don't think a company like Feral could keep that pace if they only had Linux as a target platform.

Pretty sure we can say it wont; Feral said their first Vulkan games wouldnt be until at least early 2017. (This was from their Deus Ex stream.)

Im looking forward to this one, I enjoyed previous TW games and one in the Warhammer Universe look amazing. However my only reservation is they have yet to announce if it will support cross platform multiplayer with windows (Which is a must really).
Also when TW:warhammer was announced, you could get the Chaos Warriors pack for free as a bonus for pre-ordering / if you bought within a week of release. Haven’t heard anything about if that offer will be made to Linux buyers as well.

Mad Max released for Linux, port report and review available

I do wonder if Avalanche originally planned to do an in-house port and just simply lacked resource/knowledge so eventually farmed it out to Feral.

QuoteIt’s amusing that the game was originally announced in March of 2015 and we heard very little on it so for long, but it’s finally here! It’s likely someone jumped the gun a bit back then.

From the video description I think the video has only rendered a very low FPS (or was recorded by capturing only a select number of frames per second) I would say that the values in the video are what the recorder actually experienced when playing the game.

It's me or the video it's like if the game is going at 10fps but the HUD says it's going at 70fps? This happens even with the Windows version of the video.

I enjoyed previous incarnations of this franchise, but I simply don't have the time to play this, it devours time like a MMO does, only without the social side!
Great games though, and good to see they continue to be released on Linux; and that Beta access is included.

That is my current fondest hope for games on Linux. I loved the first 2 and really want to play the 3rd but I just cant bring myself to boot windows. At this rate I will play it on WINE when it finally supports DX11 !
