Quoting: Xpander
Quoting: coryrj19951Hmm I have the minimum proccessor, the 8350, but I do have the recomended RAM and GPU. Might run decent. Can't wait for it :D

i have below minimum cpu by description :D FX 8320

but i have it at 4,4ghz, so it should be good enough :)

I would really like it if they put a footnote of if your CPU can get XYZ points in a ZYX benchmark then you meet min/rec spec.

I am curious about those min spec, is the i5 3.4ghz I assume means base 3.4 clock; does that mean a i5 that turbos to 3.4 is underspec technically or is the 3.4ghz the max turbo required. The windows spec specifies an i5-650, which is quite an old cpu and only dual core to boot. Some more clarity is needed on the CPU requirements as pure clockspeed is just not accurate enough as a benchmark. Not to mention single core performance on newer CPUs can be better at lower clocks than older CPUs.

I have a i5 4670k; and so if the 3.4 refers to base clock im right on th limit fro min spec; if the 3.4 refers to max possible clock then i can hit 3.8 and as such would be slightly higher than min. (Not counting the fact i have over clocked to 4.4 Turbo)

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

I have been immersed in Guild Wars 2 (PoL wine install) still!

Going to break out of just playing it though this month and put some time into either Wasteland 2 and complete the playthrough i have going or alternatively I may fire up Stellaris and see what the Heinlien patch is like.

Steam now has above 2,500 Linux & SteamOS games available

I already have far too many games on Linux to play than I have time for! My last non-linux purchase was Witcher 3 (and I havent yet played it!!), and other than that I havent bought a windows only game since 2014.

I am slowly playing my way through my steam library, and my MMO itch is sated by GW2 via WINE

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, Chaos Rising and Retribution announced for Linux this month!

Its nice to see older games being ported as well as new as it builds up the library, And while many people already own it, we have to assume Feral knows what it is doing porting them and that finanically they believbe it will pay off.

Who knows this could just be groundwork for a DOW3 release (I hope :) ).

Quoting: tmtvl
Quoting: neowiz73but I keep staring at that Homeworld: remastered collection wondering why it's not on Linux yet :'(

Same.

Agree, there is nothing on offer that I either dont already have or am not interested in. However I would jump at Homeworld collection straight away.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is officially coming to SteamOS & Linux, port by Feral Interactive

Quoting: Mountain ManYeah, but sometimes it fees like Feral is the only one.

That is true, I havent heard much about Aspyr or VP porting anything to Linux for sometime now. I guess Aspyr is likely to be involved in Civ6 given their previous and I know VP is working with ARMA, but their output in comparison to Feral is a drop in the ocean.

Not that Im complaining about getting ports I like Feral's work, but I fear as most AAA studios seem to outsource the ports we are in a single source market for Linux games and would hate the rug to be pulled now if something were ever to happen to Feral.

Woooo, I played the previous game befoe I moved to Linux so am extremely happy to be able to play the sequel, now how the hell do I find the time to play this...

My backlog is getting ridiculus at the minute, I only have like 30 Linux games but still not the time to play them all. I almost regret restarting on Guild Wars 2 (through wine obviously), almost but not quite!

Stellaris 1.3 patch 'Heinlein' will overhaul Space Creatures and Pirates
8 September 2016 at 3:39 pm UTC

Bought Stellaris at release and enjoyed it alot and patches 1.1 and 1.2 added alot. I will probably revisit when this drops. May even get the DLC that is set to be released in conjunction.

The Witcher 3 was apparently never planned for Linux

Which stands at odds to a mail I had from cdprojekt stating a steamos version was in planning. Though later statements did walk back on that.
