I don't use it because it's Microsoft. And fuck Microsoft - they've pretty much ruined computers.

Rumor has it that Xbox as a console will be abandoned with gamepass potentially coming to Playstation.
Other rumors say that the next Xbox will be more like a PC with full fledged windows
New rumour: XBox Copilot+ Console where everything is always on and listening.

Zero problems on 3 of my laptops with fedora 40 and the rpmfusion version or manual install. No issues with 555 beta either (which runs damned smooth).

Suppose I better finish the patch for all the feature support on the Ally and submit upstream. It's a damned good device when you run Linux on it.
(I'm the guy who works on the majority or ASUS ROG support for Linux).

Intel Lunar Lake arrives Q3 2024 as Intel jump more into AI

Yeah sure. But I'm talking "software enablement". That's quite different to driver stacks.

On Windows mostly I bet.
Actually Intel's Linux support is quite good.
Open drivers, lots of Linux clients and active(proprietary) collaboration in Kernel development.
Also the large AI players all run Linux, so making AI stuff windows exclusive is asking for problems if you're not microsoft.

Quoting: Mountain ManQuoting: Luke_Nukemsoooo.... folks are still updating distros live via a terminal in desktop and expecting things to be smooth every time?
Y'all should at least switch to a TTY to update, that way if you stomp the desktop your update will at least finish.
This, plus the need to restart various services is why an update-reboot (such as in fedora) is good.
I have never, in over two decades of using Linux, had a problem with updating a distro from a desktop terminal.
