Ballistic Overkill updated again to improve matchmaking and auto balance is back

Ok, tried it out.
Had two pretty nicely balanced and enjoyable games, and two totally dumb ones, where balance did not work that much. Also some servers seem to be under-stuffed, and that means the matches suffer a lot...
Would be nice to have the option to log to the server of my choice....

Looks like Dying Light is set to get more free DLC

- standard Steam price: €49.99
- discounted Steam price (for the next 27 hours): -60% = €19.99
I'm also not much into this zombie BS, but I'm still thinking about buying it - seems like a good action+survival FPS with nice graphics on Linux :)

Quoting: PixelPiYou wrote Dying Light is for discount on Steam. But can't buy Dying Light in Germany directly on steam. Here in Czech Rep.:
I would buy it. But while I'm not a big fan of zombie games only for discount.
This seems to be the only legal possibility for German players:

What is the normal price on steam? Sorry, can't see it.

Hhmmmmppff - just found out there is an issue with nVidia driver 381.22 on GTX 660M -> Vulkan does not work (tested on Mad Max, Ballistic Overkill, Talos Principle).
Anybody else please having similar issues?

Stardock CEO asking to see interest in Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation on Linux with Vulkan

Yeah, my apologies for being this expressive, but when I saw the news, I got enraged.
I already supported them by buying the game when it got released on early access (with the hopes that I will get a Linux&Vulkan RTS game some day, as was promised). And of course I'm VERY glad that Stardock is willing to go this way. But they did not keep their promise; they also act as if nothing happened... So it must be stated that their behaviour is not correct and is not clean; this is what developer studios just must not do...

Quoting: ZuulQuoting: BoldosHhhmmmm... What the hell, Stardock??!!
1st the Linux support was promised on your roadmap for late 2016/early 2017.
Then, Linux support was pushed to sometime "in the future", expected late 2017 or even later.
Then, any mention of anything even remotely touching Linux support disappeared quietly from all your development roadmaps on Steam and your webpage and even now is not in there anywhere.
And now, a year after initial Early Access release, with originally promised Linux support, you have the guts to come back to ask the Linux community "if there is interest, we *might* port it"? Are you f*cking kidding me??!!
It is this game, which taught me not to spend my € on the promised future Linux support, cuz the developers might change their minds not to support Linux, if this suites them...
Very bad attitude, which I would expect from EA, not from Stardock...
Yeah my thoughts exactly. But it seems that opinions like this on this matter will be removed from the comments.

Well, an ordinary shooter...
...nothing special, a bit of a disappointment, really (Tactical Ops from 1999 is more interesting!).
Anyway, will not want my money back, I'm proudly supporting the Linux devs out there :)

This is *generally* a very good rule, and the best thing one can do, when one meets an idiot.
Issue arises, though, when you meet such an idiot at your work/in your professional life, and this idiot is killing your project, or your work reputation, with their (usually very loudly spoken, and usually well targeted) idiocies.
If you run away, you insta-loose everything you worked for....
And what is even worse: by your behaviour, you let the idiot win.
THIS is my worst real-life, all life long dilemma..

Thats why I stay away from such forums posts.
That quote was the quote I was looking for and it summarize it perfectly how to deal with trolls.
