That's amazing, but no one showed a real world test of the patches. I'm waiting for the usual http://www.gearsongallium.com/ video to consider this a real advancement.
Anyway I hope these patches will go into the next Mesa 13.1 ;)

Liam, please add "Deepin" to the Desktop Environments: I'm using it on my Manjaro and is very very good and games friendly.

If I recall correctly, I got the game from a Humble Bundle, but never played it because the performance was very very poor on my rig using AMD Catalyst or old Mesa drivers. I have to give it a second chance with the new, faster, latest Mesa.

Quoting: Linas
Quoting: ziabiceThe old version (DirectX9) works under latest versions of WINE: I thing this could be a perfect candidate for a wrapped VirtualProgramming port.
VirtualProgramming doesn't do Wine wraps. They use their own porting technology. On the other hand, I am sure that they could do a port of Darksiders just fine if somebody actually asked them to.

I said that because the game works already well under WINE, it will for sure work well (better?) as an eON wrapped port. Of course a native port will be the best, but better a wrapped port than nothing.

I discovered this game on 19/11/2016 (19 november), but despite listed into the store page, nowhere into the site or Kickstart project there's Linux mention. So I emailed them the same day asking about the port: as of today I got no reply to my email. Honestly I'll wait the release date to state a real Linux/SteamOS support.
