OT: Will Doom Eternal use Vulkan API?

The only sure thing is that it will use Denuvo, so it couldn't be a day-1 supported Proton game.

Quoting: Linas(Un)fortunately I can work from home. But man am I not productive with all the distractions around. Any productivity tips?

You should set some daily goals and work on small sprints which don't admit distractions: imagine a 1 hour sprint, then 15 minutes of complete relax. Stop all the distractions: emails, social network notifications, music, films, TV and so.
A thing that can help in being more productive is to imagine (yes, role playing) a very near and unmissable deadline that will cost your job if failed.

But remember: If you have children running through your house all that I said is completely useless. ;)

I'm playing Metro Exodus under Proton: it works like a charm and the game is great. Mixes light open world/survival with lots of stealth action, shooting and an average story. You can think of it like a simplified version of Fallout 3, without all the RPG elements and moral choices. There are side quests, but everything is focused mainly on shooting and advancing the story. Gameplay is very relaxed, there's no need to rush, so you have time to explore, and you need too, to build your equipment.

I'm liking a lot the variety of scenarios: until now I saw dark tunnels, bunkers, deserts, cold swamp. I just started a level into the Taiga. Graphics are very beautiful.

This is that kind of game you say "It's my cup of tea, but I'm sure I will get bored quickly". Nonetheless the low price is very tempting...

I can't resist and bought it when released on Steam thinking "it will count as a Linux sale and played through Proton". Indeed it works very well under Proton and is a very good game.

I'll show my support for the Linux port buying the DLCs.

I'm enjoining Metro Exodus: it gives me some "Fallout 3" vibes

Proton 5.0-3 for Steam Play released, Direct3D 12 support for Metro Exodus

Quoting: PatolaCan't run Metro Exodus in 5.0.3. Added my attempts in the bug report. Anyone was able to do it?

Works fine here, played 2 hours today with Proton 5.0-3. The Proton prefix was created with Proton 5.0-2. I'm playing using DirectX 11. Don't remember my graphics detail, but is high.

My specs:

AMD RX 580 4GB
Mesa 19.3.4
Manjaro, Kernel 5.14.18
Ryzen 2600, 16 GB RAM

Metro Exodus is now live on Steam and Deep Silver say it's coming to Linux

Read this too late, after I have already bought the game. It works out of the box with Proton 5.0-2 and Mesa 19.3.3 on my rig.

Performance is good, but it can be better.

EDIT: tried to fix my bad english
