What? I switched to AMD specifically to use drivers that offer a first-class FOSS experience, and to avoid this kind of vague chicanery.

Part of the point of FOSS is, you know, being open about issues! I get paranoid about this crap ever since I first started reading the likes of Brian Krebs and Bruce Schneier years ago.
It's a common practice in almost any opensource when dealing with vulnerabilities.

Quoting: ShabbyXAnyone knows how to have a convenient get-the-latest-nvidia-driver setup on Debian? On Ubuntu, they had something in the settings to choose the latest driver. In Debian, the nvidia driver is always waaay behind.
AFAIK there was some command line option you can run official Nvidia driver .run file with to generate .deb files you can then install with dpkg.

Quoting: Vortex_AcheronticOr Valve could finally move to support Wayland natively instead of relying on XWayland. That would solve the infamous flicker as well. It's super annoying nevertheless.
For me Plasma itself flickers often on Wayland, so it's not a problem of XWayland.

Only ones which distribute IP which they can't. Look at Sigil megawad from Romero. For playing it you need original DOOM WAD. Problem is only if they distribute original resources.
I mostly mean Simon's Destiny, Robocop Doom, Batman Reborn, Golden Souls series, Jazz Jackrabbit Doom etc.
