Quoting: GuestWhat the... seriously? Next thing you'll be telling me Blizzard, Ubisoft, ID/Bathesda, etc. will be tooling around with a linux-supported game and/or engine. I don't know. EA, really?Next thing you know, IBM will buy Red Hat. Wait....
Maybe I should go buy a Lotto ticket for once. This is weird.

Quoting: GuestTo be honest I wonder how the company is still standing with so few titles supporting it. It's no wonder they end up burning great studios, they can't afford to keep them, because they're not making enough money, they blame game devs for not making enough money, when the reality is that EA itself is the reason they're not making enough money, they're getting in their own way.Hmm, am I missing some news? Where does EA blame their own developers for financial loss?

Quoting: Guest...They started declining so fast in 2008 however that they have not managed to release a single good game since ~2010.Not a fan of the Battlefield games? I like them.

That trailer music is great. It's like a hyped up Shadowrun sound. It makes the game feel much cooler than the trailer looks when muted.

I'll take a peek at my Lutris config to find if I changed anything, but I don't think so.

Quoting: MayeulCI used the DXVK version of the Lutris installer. I did not have to do any of the tweaks that Liam did. Make sure you install wine-staging and the Vulkan programs from the Arch section that Lutris links to here.Quoting: 14Well, since I've been playing Overwatch, I have to change my Wine answer. :)
Well, since I got it as part of the Humble Monthly, I had figured I'd try it, but it doesn't seem to run with Lutris. How did you do?

Since I'm terrible at F1 2017, I wouldn't mind a game that was more at the difficulty level of, say, Forza Motorsport 3.

Play as a huge corporation in the just announced Stellaris: MegaCorp expansion

You can also just ignore the DLC if its existence offends you. Buy the base game on sale, play it as much as you like, then leave it. You will get plenty of gameplay from vanilla Stellaris.
As far as this full expansion is concerned, I will probably get it! It sounds great to me. I am curious how it lines up with their really big patch they announced not too long ago. That hasn't been released yet, right?

Quoting: antisolI'd be very interested to hear opinions justifying how Stellaris represents value for money. You can also search previous Stellaris articles, here at GoL, where this same question always comes up. What I basically said last time is that I've spent probably around $40 on Stellaris + the few DLC's I have and I have 100 hours into the game. That's worth it to me. Am I willing to shell out some more cash to makes things interesting and play another 20 hours or so? Yeah, I am.

Quoting: liamdaweRemember the Paragon assets that were released, I think last year? Hey, if someone can build something really fun by combining the two, I'd play it.Quoting: AsuThey're not stopping people using it in their own games. Reading their license and the entire point of the sample, they're letting developers use it.Quoting: rea987Brace for asset flippers.
It has a very strict license for commercial usage.
BATTLETECH for Linux to leave beta on November 27th, along with the Flashpoint expansion

Quoting: GuestA season pass that costs more than the base game. Something really doesn't seem right there. To me, this says they carved up the original game to begin with, and didn't even deliver original kickstarter promises before trying to squeeze people for more funds. If Twitch streams and written reviews make it sound like the game is worth $40, then that's all I care about I guess. If reviews tend to say that you need the DLC to be worth playing, then I'm on your side. That's at least how I go about it.
