And?

... these will still need 32 bit libraries?
Can't Steam include the dependencies like game installation wizards of old? Think about .NET prerequisites in Windows. Steam games will install those if missing.

Quoting: GuestGreat news. The sad thing with this game is that it works PERFECTLY under WINE, so many Linux gamers like myself already play it and we get counted as "Windows" players.

That is sad. What could you do differently to help with that situation??

Only joking! I completely understand that Linux-only gaming is a pretty big sacrifice. And I'm being hypocritical, since although I'm Linux-only for PC gaming, I do still occasionally buy a game for the PS4. That said, the spend ratio is about 200 to 1 (at least!) in favour of Linux-games (only one purchase in the past year on the PS4 - a half price deal on Horizon Zero Dawn). But I get how hard it is for some people to give up their Windows games.
I don't judge that as hypocritical. A PC is much more than just a gaming device. I/We have decided not to use Windows, even for gaming. Using a GNU/Linux desktop fulfills the Windows avoidance and PC gaming gets somewhat sacrificed. Now, the PS4 is only a gaming & entertainment system. There are plenty of games that are on PS4 that aren't on Windows and games that are on Linux that aren't on PS4.

Valheim, an interesting survival game inspired by norse mythology and viking culture, currently free

I might try it. I mean, it's free, right?

I am not sure how I feel about the graphics. It looks like retro pixel graphics with a higher pixel count than most "pixel" games these days. I guess I'll see once it's on my screen in motion.

Quoting: drlamb2990WX Here I come! It'll help me with training for my RHCA/other homelab stuff.

I don't NEED it...but I want it, which means I need it. I think a drug addiction would be cheaper at this point. :D

Edit: Pre-ordered!
Ever heard of LinuxAcademy.com? Ha! I took the RHCE course there.

I might spec out a hypervisor build around the 2950X. It might be worth down sizing from a beefy 4U server I got from work.

Meeple Station, a cooperative space station simulation game with a Linux demo, heading to Kickstarter soon

I think this could be fun.

My wife refers to playing Guild Wars 2 cooperatively as "parallel play." I wonder if that's what Meeple Station will be like.

I hope they can make a good game. Action RPG in historical Middle-East could feel pretty fresh.

A developer from Bohemia Interactive wants to know your interest in the Arma 3 Linux port

Quoting: Guest... Although I dislike the way developers always want to make the Linux community beg for titles. But at least they're showing interest, have to give them that.
My best guess is there is one person that is trying to convince the business to upgrade Linux support. The best way to do that is to prove that it's not charity work.
