Valve are easing up on what content is allowed on Steam

At the end of the day, I barely rely on the Steam store page to find new games that I might be interested in. The avenues that make me curios of new games: GoL, Twitch, GOG, Co-Optimus.

Quoting: noxI already use those, and they're nice, but Windows-only games still slip through the cracks in sections of the front page. I'll admit that the Steam preferences seem to work better than they used to.Quoting: 14Speak for yourselves when you say you want to be offended. I'd rather not. Sure, let content exist and be purchasable on Steam that I don't care for at all. But if you do that, then let me "subscribe" to a curator or set of curators that can even control the front page.
Good news, the adult filter should already take care of parts of it :)

You can also filter based on tags, apparently. So, if you really dislike certain features, genres or topics you can do it there too.

Sounds good to me. Paradox sells their games on GOG which makes me think they won't pull their games off distribution platforms like Steam and force consumers to buy from their own.

There's potential that I could like this a lot, I think.

Even though my wife is not a gamer, this news makes me even more hesitant than I already was in planning to get her a new MacBook someday. She currently has a laptop running Windows 7 because we couldn't justify the cost to upgrade her MBP a year or two ago. I don't know if I want to get her one anymore.

Quoting: PatolaI would surely like a service where I could track and be recalled of all these games which are not out yet and do not have a steam/gog/itch/whatever page where I could just wishlist it. This one seems amazing, and also looked to me a bit like The Dark Mod.You can do that at Giantbomb.com. You can make custom lists. For example, long ago, I created a list I called "Watching" where I added games I was keen about but not yet "wish list" status. That's also where I keep track of games I am not finished with.

Yeah, I think I need to get this one. I hope it's not too frustrating though.

Wait, what? 255 players?! I had no idea it could even do 96 before.
I bought this game on release day and am happy to see this update. And yes, I have played it several hours as opposed to letting a new game sit in my library for no reason.
