The first dev-diary for 'Surviving Mars' from Haemimont Games and Paradox is here, looks good

I'm kind of interested in this one. I haven't invested much money into open-ended games because I like to finish them. It's true that Sim City was one of my first time sinks of PC gaming, but that was also when I didn't have any selection. I played it on a friend's computer.

Dota 2's big Dueling Fates update will arrive tomorrow with two new heroes and a more casual mode

Quoting: razing32
Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTSo Dota will become a mix of HOTS and LOL? Please not. :'(

HOTS is much more casual for comparison

They'd have to remove gold and the shop completely
Give the team a shared XP bar
Remove the inventory
And actually add more than one map :D
Yeah, how about they don't do that. Not every game needs to be the same thing.

The next three major Steam sale dates have been leaked

I kinda wish there was just one annual Steam sale. Man, when that first one landed years ago during a winter that I was trapped in another State due to a snow storm, it was amazing! I was so pumped! I spent over $100 on that sale. But now, there have been so many sales that I have a pile of games I've never played. I'm not very excited to get new games, even if they're brand new, because I don't know when I'd even play them. I'm just now playing through The Witcher 3 for the first time since buying it on Black Friday last year.

Minecraft 1.13 will feature LWJGL 3 with improved Linux support

I run a few Docker instances for my kids to play on that I occasionally play on myself. Some friends of mine also recently dug out an old world from years ago that I threw up on a server to reminisce a bit. In short, I'm happy to see an update coming.

A look at DwarfCorp, a game about profit and exploration

I wanted to see if I could get into DF maybe a year ago. I tried it for only like 15 minutes. :( I am displeased with my own patience.... A game like this would be easier jump into. No thanks on being a beta tester though.

The Humble Down Under Bundle is a very good deal for Linux gamers

That's a really sweet bundle. My wife and I already own copies of Armello, but I want those Hacknet ones and Hand of Fate and Screencheat (already have Satellite Reign).
