The developers of Solus are hoping to improve Linux gaming with snaps and their Linux Steam Integration

These snaps sound exactly like LXC / Docker / UCR / Rocket containers. You build a small distribution along with all dependencies the app needs, and it just works for the most part. With Docker, there is a networking layer added in between your system and the containers. I wonder how Snaps deal with ports. Browse hub.docker.com to get an idea of what is being built into containers these days.
If it works like Docker, then you don't have to worry about space as much as you'd think. Images are in chunks and they share data (deduplication). So, if you have 20 games that rely on 50% the same base data, you will be saving 50% x 20 images.
That said, there is a little disk price to pay with containers. It is worth it a lot of times. Want to make your own Wordpress website on your own server with ease? Load up a Docker container for the site and another container for the DB and you are done in minutes.

Humble Bundle has been acquired by IGN

Probably like ten years ago now, IGN used to be my favorite. I loved the IGN sites and was on it every day, checking news and very active in the forums. I had 10K+ forum posts before I left. That's the most I've posted anywhere. My good friend was a GameSpot guy but I always said IGN was better. But IGN did eventually start going directions I didn't like. Fewer words per review and more images and links and videos. That's when I discovered Giantbomb.com. Knowing the editors came from GameSpot and why they left, I knew it was the right game news source for me. I've been a follower of that site for several years and it's been my browser's home page, until recently. As of about a month or two ago, my browser's home page is actually GoL. :D I still like Giantbomb, but their scope is a bit larger than what I care about anymore. I primarily want Linux gaming news and I can seek out the occasional PS4 game info when it suits me.
After having Humble Bundle on pause two months in a row (due to lack of good Linux games I didn't already own), I canceled completely a day or two ago. Seeing this acquisition news, I'm pessimistic that Humble Bundle will offer an experience I want to pay time or money for.

A Linux console is still probably the best chance at getting broad game support. They turn it on and don't even know that it's powered by Linux. While it doesn't immediately create loyalists, it gets more games on our preferred platform.

I don't like pixel graphics but the animation makes a difference. I'm a little interested in this one.

It's somewhat similar to Solforge but maybe less complex. I wonder how crazy they'll get with card abilities. Very cool that it's FOSS.

I didn't think I was interested in WWII anymore, but after watching half that video... if it comes to Linux, I'll probably have to get it and... play it a bunch. :)

You had me at "co-op."
What have you been playing and what do you think?

I've been playing Arma 3 co-op missions with my Windows buddies. They kindly applied the legacyports build to their clients. It's been pretty hard but very enjoyable. On the single-player side of things, I've been playing The Witcher 3 on PS4. I thought my hours logged were in the 20's, so I was quite surprised when I checked my stats and it was 46 hours or so. It might be, in my opinion, the best game there is to date.
