The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

I played through The Witcher 2 from start to finish on Linux. I believe I used my 360 controller the whole game, too. I may have had one or two crashes my entire play-through, but I can accept that to be able to play an excellent, 3D RPG.

I'm actually playing through The Witcher 3 now, but it's on my PS4 this time. I gave up hope of playing it on Linux a long time ago, and I am done investing in games that only run on Windows. It would have been amazing to get The Witcher 3 on Linux, "native" or not, but it's understandable why we're not. When people get behind a monitor and start typing, they forget that they're talking to humans. Would you continue feeding a dog that bites your hand? Hell no. You kick it in the face if you're mad or just let it starve and hope it goes away if you're gentle.

The share of Linux users on Steam is still holding steady

After not taking a Steam survey in a really long time, I got the pop-up yesterday I believe. I haven't changed hardware in a long time either. Sounds like maybe they issued a recount.

I didn't even know the tool existed, so thanks! I was literally thinking about what video editors were available in Linux yesterday.

Facepunch Studios 'Rust' has $4.3 million in refunds

Quoting: OLucasZanellaWould've done the same if I hadn't surpassed the 2 hours by looking at a blank screen and hoping it would load.
The only reason I have never refunded a Steam game is because I never think of it. Rust is a game that I should have refunded. I feel hopeful for it and I think it will be fun, but I'm not going to upgrade my hardware for an unfinished game. (Same goes for ARK.) What I should have done was try it out for a half hour or so and refund it after experiencing bad performance. I can always buy it again 6-12 months later assuming there will be some major optimization patches.

Quoting: buenaventuraI've been very interested in Shovel Knight 20% off, it seems to never go much on sale, and it's still quite an expensive title, but it's tempting. I want a game to play with my SNES controller!
It's been lower in price plenty of times: https://steamdb.info/app/250760/

I thought, "Maybe I should get XCOM 2 someday," only to see I already own it!

I probably get 5-10 hours of gaming in per week, and it still feels like running backwards with the rate I get new games. 20 hours a year... I don't know if I'd buy games anymore.

Quoting: inlinuxdudeOn another note, following that link, they show at $36 USD... :( There are used ones for <$14, but new ones are $36. Too bad, I was gonna jump on that..
That's what I see too. Bummer! I would buy it for $15 even though my Ethernet is not run to the TV area yet.
