Albion Online to get another big update before launch named 'Hector'
29 May 2017 at 4:42 pm UTC

I've been looking forward to this game for a long time, mainly because I want a go-to Linux MMORPG. But I am mainly a PvE player with friends and only dabble in PvP here and there. If PvE stinks, then I will sadly skip AO.

Some thoughts on 'World to the West', the standalone followup to Teslagrad

That looks pretty cool. It made me think of Zelda as well. I might have to get it.

Linux gamers on Arch may want to hold off on updating due to openssl breaking some games (updated)

The issue is closed now, but I am confused whether I need to run this patch or wait for an openssl update to come down the pipe.

Quoting: psycho_driverHad absolutely zero interest in this game but I'll buy it when the vulkan renderer is working correctly.
Just because you want to experience a driver API?

This game looks really cool and I'd most likely get it for Linux. I definitely would not get it for Windows.

Total War: SHOGUN 2 and Fall of the Samurai are heading to Linux from Feral Interactive

I always love when a Windows-only game I already own (got it for free with a video card years ago) starts working on Linux. w00t!

NVIDIA 381.22 driver released with lots of bug fixes and newer Vulkan support
10 May 2017 at 3:47 am UTC

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoYes. In Windows, the Nvidia driver has a huge list of games and You can configure the driver settings for each individual games...
In Linux, to configure the driver settings for each game is not that easy.
It's not? Maybe not quite as easy, but there are Application Profiles in the NVIDIA X Server Settings that you can set up based on multiple triggers, process name being one of them.

Stellaris is the new early unlock for the Humble Monthly bundle
6 May 2017 at 4:16 pm UTC

Quoting: constSorry for not beeing clear. I meant that Inside may come to linux at some point. AFAIK it currently isn't.
And I pretty much do the same with the non-linux titles.
That makes sense. I held onto Inside since Limbo made it to Linux.

Stellaris is the new early unlock for the Humble Monthly bundle

Quoting: constThe bundles this year had so much value for linux gamers, they are really worth a second look after release.
May: dirt rally, undertale, metrico+ and gonner. Inside may come later
April: Black Mesa, Layers of Fear, Tumblestone, Slime-san. Event[0] and The witness may come later
March: TotalWar Warhammer, RIVE, Poly Bridge, Uurnog, Flat Heroes
February: XCom2, SteamWorld HEIST, Oh, Dear...
We already got Inside. It was unlocked the same time as Dirt Rally. Check your keys on the site.

I've been subscribed since XCOM 2. I didn't want that one a whole lot to be honest, but the bundle for $12 was still worth it to me. Since then, every month that they tell you what the front-runner game of the next month is going to be, I can't unsubscribe! I think it rocks. I wanted the Warhammer game really bad, I wanted Dirt really bad, and next month is Stellaris?! It's amazing.

It also helps that I dropped my EVE subscription at the same time I signed up for Humble Monthly. :)

For the purists out there, you can gift Windows-only games (with no hope of coming to Linux) to your friends on the dark side. That's what I do. I did, however, keep The Witness because I really want it to come to Linux. :S:

The 'Razer DeathAdder Chroma' is quite possibly the nicest mouse I've ever owned

Quoting: PompesdeskyHi 14,
I'm using a G600 since a couple of years and I'm really happy with the buttons that I use in FPS games to quickly switch between weapons or do some actions. However it's a little too narrow for me and I'm not holding it straight (it rests a bit sideways in my hand). I just discovered the Nyth reading your post and I'm really interested in it. How's the software support for it under Linux ? Does Roccat provide something to configure it or is there a non-official Linux tool that does the trick ?

Cybolic beat me to the software information, and he's right on! The only info he gave that I'd critique is the software is in the AUR, so installation is a couple more steps than normal. Looks like you're on Mint, so you'd want to check their packages or Ubuntu's. I'd be surprised if they didn't have one.

When I put the slim side piece on the Nyth, it is quite narrow, at least for me. In that configuration, it feels mildly better for shooters for me, but since it's a different feel than every other time I use the mouse, I'm not as accurate. If you put the skinny piece on, overall width is a little bit narrower than an iPhone 6.

After trying a few configurations for a while, I don't switch anymore. Being able to get it just how I want was worth it to me. I would buy it again.

Oh, one of the selling points for me was the on-board processor. Yes, it not only has on-board memory like other gaming mice, it actually has its own processor so you truly keep your config on multiple computers and OS. When you program your buttons onto the mouse, it will keep those settings even if you plug it into a computer that doesn't have Roccat software installed.
