Linux support was definitely a major reason I bought my Nyth. I was planning to buy more products from Roccat when I needed them (I'm set at the moment), but now I'll have to do homework and make sure the things I want are reviewed by Linux users before I buy.

After watching the game awards last night and having upcoming games on my mind, what would hugely surprise me is Mass Effect 4. Man, that would kick butt.

The Steam reviewers complaining about Linux problems and lack of cross-platform play is what prevented me from buying this game when it was on sale last week. It's been on my wish list and I was really close to buying it. If the Linux problems go away and we get cross-platform, I'll for sure get it!
Steam store updated, Valve still haven't fixed filtering to only Linux games on the homepage

I like the changes. The OS preference says right next to it that it will take a while to take effect. It had an immediate affect in the sections that you scroll down on the front page. Steam seriously needed some refreshment, and I think this was a good step.
Using Nvidia's NVENC with OBS Studio makes Linux game recording really great

I am very grateful to get more options, however my preference is QuickSync. It uses the unused IGP of my CPU. When I capture with that method in Windows, you really don't feel it. It doesn't affect your game's framerate, whereas x264 and NVENC can.
Very cool that NVENC is an option now since quite a few Linux games don't have intense graphics.

Quoting: HoriNice and all but I really can't believe there's no other way to get this other than put lots of commands in the terminal...Aren't you on Arch? I didn't compile locally, and I have the NVENC option.
I have no problem with that as I am a technical user, but for other people, this is a real put-off.

Quoting: PublicNuisanceIn my opinion 32 bit support should have died back in 2005. We have had 64 bit CPUs and operating systems for ages but they haven't killed off support yet. Think of the progress that could have been made elsewhere if resources and money weren't allocated to 32 bit support ?But virtualization features necessary to host 64-bit guests haven't been around as long.

You know what this reminds me of? World of Goo. World of Goo beat the wave of small games. If World of Goo came out now, I wouldn't want it. But back then, it was super neat. Of course, I'm only speaking for myself. There are a lot of games these days. I can't play all the good ones, let alone all of them period.

I know we can't have everything, but I'm not really into super-old-generation graphics. Sure, I have a few games with old-school graphics, but I'm not in the mood for more.

If it's ARK in space, then I don't need it. The video looks pretty great. I wonder what the general gameplay is like in between the action moments. Also, what are the interaction options with other players?
