These are excellent. I only ever played the first one, and wasn't able to get the others until now.

To give you an idea about the style of the game: The spell "increase bust size" does not work on Gretchen, it only works on marble busts.

I've got a GPD Pocket http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2017/02/gpd-pocket-ubuntu-7-inch-laptop-indiegogo It's out, it has a better resolution and is apparently cheaper. It doesn't have the game-controller-keyboard, though, but I'm not a game-controller-user anyway.

I played some 7 hours or so yesterday, and it doesn't really feel like I'll finish it soon. Maybe that's because they added stuff, or maybe it's because I just suck, or maybe it's because the fucking pieces of shit of other bots level the same speed as me (what's the use of levels if everything else gets better the same time as you? I hate it).

It's lying in the corner because of shitty leveling mechanics now, together with Borderlands.

- Most don't have steam. So 10% of the Linux users to have steam could be accurate.

- A lot, like more than 50%, don't play games.

- There are also a few that only play on console. Usually PS3/4, sometimes Nintendo too, rarely XBox.

And finally

- the avid players usually also have a windows-machine for playing, some even use Windows exclusively for gaming, and don't have steam installed on Linux.

Since I didn't buy any Windows-only games for some time (except when cheated by the developers) my stash of older Windows-only games (among them Fallout 4 and the Witcher 3) slowly starts getting supported by wine. Nice.

But for some reason, the wine-party haven't managed to package the last 3 rc-releases for Debian, whereas they usually did within 2 days.

The whole game sports some kind of retro-look, there are 8" floppy disks lying around. Which partly explains their design decision:

The terminals are basically DOS from the 1980ies, except that all the commands have been renamed, and every user-friendly feature has not been implemented. It's not in any way comparable to the user-friendliness of a UNIX shell/terminal from the same time. The game would actually be more enjoyable if they had just plugged in a tcsh from an 80ies UNIX instead of that DOS-chimera.

Basically, if this wasn't a game, this utter piece of shit of a command line interface would be totally unacceptable.

That said, the game itself is quite nice and the puzzles are rather difficult.
