It's no coincidence that pro-drm devs also dislike supporting Linux.

Love the game. It's like a turn-based Starcraft. Works beautifully on Linux. The new faction dlcs are nice especially the one with tyranids.
Game AI is quite decent as in units retreat when they get overwhelmed but not that smart as to outmaneuver you. But, then again, I've mostly played on normal on large maps with 2v2v2v2 alliances.

Some people say that you need to be online and create an account in order to upgrade your ship. Is that still a thing?

A great game. I got it on the latest steam winter sale after enjoying the Warhammer 40k: Gladius turned based strategy I got from GOG.
Be warned, though, the game is a huge time sink, especially on the Mortal Empires campaign.

How would game devs, artists, musicians, etc get paid for their work?
You can't rely solely on donations and the good will of people. If anything, legal trolls only prove that some people lack good will.

Quoting: PatolaThis scam called "Intellectual Property" should be not only extinguished, but banished. It is not property (since it is not scarce) and it is only used to promote injustice.

If a member of a community has, for example, publicly voiced homophobic opinions, that will reflect poorly on the entire community. Also, LGBT members of the community would find it hard, if not impossible, to work with him afterwards.

Quoting: TheSHEEEPBut whatever happens that is not (either publicly or privately) between workers/team members but between a worker and other, unrelated people (or no people at all, just someone voicing opinions), should have no consequences beyond affecting inter-personal relations at work if it becomes known.

It does have an impact.
If you start calling someone names, regardless if you do it offline or online on another platform, then you can't possibly expect that the other person will be willing to continue to work with you.
You also need to consider the fact that calling coworkers names reflects negatively upon the entire organization. People will think twice before joining and/or contributing.

Quoting: NanobangI scratch my head over what an isometric view might bring to the game, what's the attraction? I'm not knocking it, but doesn't ATOM already have an aerial-view of things?
