The repacking scene has come a long way since then. There's now reliable repacks which include all of the modifications and cracks necessary to go online with other users of the same software, complete with installers!

Agreed. The EU Piracy Displacement Study didn't support the publishers' claims so now they want 100% control over the software you spend your money on.

At the moment there seems to be only one former scene member who can reliably crack Denuvo. We'll have to see how this latest iteration works out.

Personally, I won't buy Denuvo-infected games (or DLC) as I disagree with the protection on principle. It's bad enough that Ubisoft are currently crippling older (no longer supported) games that require online authentication; they're happy to take the suckers' money at the time, though.

The only issue I had running this was that my new GOG installation didn't include the nox.cfg file, causing the game to crash. However I simply created the missing file using touch and all was good!
