Point & click horror game STASIS now has a new Linux Beta
27 March 2017 at 6:09 pm UTC
If it's any help, the Windows version ran fine with Wine when I used it last year. I started playing the first beta but found a game-breaking bug so continued with Wine! It's a worthwhile game, though.

Quoting: g000hHope that the Stasis Linux beta will also come to GOG - because I own it on GOG and not Steam. And obviously, I'm a Linux gamer.
Fingers crossed!

Kona, an eerie narrative-driven adventure game is now out on Linux, it's a bit buggy

I think this may be due to another known bug having recently being fixed. I won't reveal too much here though.

Quoting: GuestI've dumped 8 hours into Kona .. haven't really experienced any bugs except the headlamp used for repairing the snowmobile re-appearing every time you reload the area.

Played it through in about 12 hours, trying to get all the achievements. Can't say I encountered any game-breaking bugs myself. Kona might not be everyone's cup of tea but I am personally looking forward to the next in the series.

Ah! Using this I was able to get DiRT Rally to recognise the triggers so many thanks :-)

Quoting: saildataQuoting: robvvQuoting: saildataI had a few issues with it, nothing major. I'm also on the beta client, which had some recent updates for the SC.
Have you tried one of the community configs? Also, sometimes I find it helps to reboot with the controller plugged in.
'xinput' will typically list two nodes for the SC, so that's one way to quickly check if it's your system (eg udev/permissions etc) or Steam/the game.
Thanks for this. I have been using the beta client and indeed xinput does show two nodes.
The triggers do work when I run the test utility in the Steam client so I'm wondering if there is an issue between the game and my Steam client.
Also, the controller buttons seem to recognised as keys (e.g. Pg Dn, Ctrl etc) in Dirt Rally so I will have to keep digging!
Glad to help out! Enjoy the game :) (check out the project below re: the buttons)
P.S. Anyone with a Steam Controller should definitely checkout the GTK3 based configuration tool, which allows you to re-map any button without running the Steam client. Also, it's a user-mode driver so no special privileges needed.

Have just played a few laps in the game but I'm having issues with the triggers on my Steam Controller not being recognised at all in Dirt Rally. Has anyone else experienced this?
HITMAN released for Linux, initial port report and two gameplay videos

Good luck!
As you say, I use the binary blob version 378.13, which runs very well with my system. Hopefully you'll get yours working soon as well.

Quoting: miboThanks robvv for your response.
I think, you also use the Nvidia binary driver. MESA 11.2 is below the Hitman requirements and probably would not work well with your gtx970.
I'm in contact with the feral support, so maybe they have an idea what is wrong with my system/settings.
Good luck!

I'm using steam version 1.0.0.54-3.1 from http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/42.2/non-oss/ and Mesa 11.2.2-166.1 from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Leap:/42.2:/Update/standard/.
I do know that some packages from more up-to-date OpenSUSE repos sometimes cause conflict with Feral games. The other thing that I have which is different is the graphics card: mine is a GTX 970 which might make quite a bit of difference, though I see that someone here is using an RX460 and getting a playable game.
Hope this helps.

Quoting: miborobvv, what steam version do you use?
The one from the Suse repository or did you download it directly from a steam web page?
Unfortunately, I can't get Hitman running on Suse 42.2.
I also tried to start it from the steam gui (crashes immediately) and from the terminal as you described. There I get the feral launcher and can click on PLAY. In the loading screen it then crashes :-(
I'm using a RX480 with MESA 17.0 from the Suse Xorg repo.
Did you do something else to get it running?

As an update to this, I now have the game.
Go to the [..]steamapps/common/Hitman™/bin directory and launch ./HitmanPro from there. Game then launches fine for me.

Quoting: robvvQuoting: DJVikingHas anyone been able to run this game on OpenSUSE Leap 42.2? The game would not launch on mine.Whilst I don't yet have Hitman, I do sometimes have this problem with Feral games. Have you tried launching it from the command line? That often works for me.
At the moment I cannot get Mad Max to run, though it might be to do with the latest Nvidia graphics driver.

One item seems to be very well hidden but I got them all eventually. The jump scares are rather good and I look forward to chapter two.
As for the monitor issue, I had to edit the prefs file in .config/unity3d/TheMeatly Games/Bendy and the Ink Machine/ but after that it started fine. Unity really has fun with multiple monitors at different resolutions :-)

Quoting: KelsHmm, starts on the wrong monitor with no options, and then hangs on the first loading screen. Not an auspicious start.
Edited to add: Second try things worked properly, but got bored when I scoured the whole level and still can't find an item I need, and the bobbing as you walk was making me start to feel ill.
