Since I play a lot of platformers: Pleaseohpleaseohplease give us a real SNES-style d-pad on the left instead of a trackpad. And slightly bigger buttons on the right.
Valve have put out a new Steam Client Beta, it's small but good for Steam Play users

In SteamOS/Big Picture (yes I'm still a loyal SteamOS user), it's nice to be able to tweak your controller config on the fly. Though I suppose this bug doesn't necessarily affect that situation since the controller can do the work.

Quoting: BeamboomWhat do people use that overlay for, when gaming? For Steam chat? I just simply never enter that mode other than if someone happen to message me during a session...?

Delver is really fun. My only wish is that there was a "non-hardcore" mode, or at least a way to save the generation seed, because I really enjoy exploring its procedurally generated labyrinths and I want to keep exploring the same space rather than starting over when I die. (Or perhaps it has that feature now, I haven't played it in a while.)

What Valve is doing here is really just like what they did with the Steam Runtime... they're standardizing the library versions that are available to games so it's easier to get them to run consistently. Only now, instead of standardizing Linux, they're standardizing Windows (something MS hasn't even done very well).
The developers of 'Owlboy', a fantastic looking 2D adventure game say they will look to port it to Linux soon

I played through the demo on my windows VM and loved every second of it. I'll probably wait to do a full playthrough until I can use my SteamOS box though, it's screaming out to be played on a living-room setup.
