I hope its just a matter of time before a Linux version is put out. Its nice to see developers choosing OGL over DX, maybe a Vulkan update will arrive in the future once they've nailed the bugs.

Not sure if its my kinda game but would love to try it. But I'm like you guys 'No Tux. No Bux'

This looks good, hopefully they're using an engine that makes it easy to bring to Linux, preferably with Vulkan support!! I'm sad at the lack of more AAA titles still on Linux, but if we get a good amount of high quality indie games coming through to fill the void, it'll keep me happy.

I don't get it.. If they're going to the effort of using Metal, why not just jump straight to Vulkan. There is a project called MoltenVK which will make Vulkan work nicely with Metal.

I need to get back to and finish Talos too. I think I got pretty far about 9 months ago and stopped for whatever reason. It's a good game and I'm glad they're using it as a test bench for Vulkan as it's something that needed a boost in Linux (atleast on the AMD side of things).

AMD's lack of updates during the Catalyst driver drove me insane, especially when using newer distros. Everytime xserver got updated it broke my system. Never ever had that issue with Mesa drivers. I really wanted to test Vulkan out, but they haven't brought support to my GPU in Linux yet anyway. So I will wait for this open Vulkan driver and see how things progress.

But I need to make a choice in 6 months time. Does my new computer stay team red with improving open source drivers, or do I go to the dark side and get a GTX 1070.

Since I've gone Linux full time, I try not to buy windows only games even the ones that promise Linux support. But I love what these guys were doing and they did say they intended to support Linux in the future so I decided to buy the game while it was in early access as a way of supporting them.

I still haven't played it (even on Wine) as I'm hoping they finish the game and bring it to Linux.

Good little puzzle game. Although maybe a bit dark in style for some people as I found out by reading the Steam store reviews. Planning on playing it some more later.

I'll believe it when I see it. I'm surprised how long it is taking them to release the game on Vulkan (and therefore Linux) considering they were promoting Mantle so long ago. Meanwhile, no problem with DX12 support from the beginning. It was/is hoped that this would be a great Vulkan benchmarking tool, I wonder what the hold up is.

No, this is not the same developer. This answer in steam community is from Reinhard Pollice, Executive Producer at Nordic Games. And person who porting Painkiller and Deadfall Adentures and almost done Darksiders is Leszek Godlewski, but he not working anymore in this company (he working in The Farm 51 when he porting Painkiller and Deadfall and next he left developer and join to publisher team Nordic games and trying port Darksider), after that he start working in The Astronaut (Wanishing of Etan Carter) and now he working in Flying Wild Hog.

Hmmmm, maybe he should try finish some projects instead of hopping around... Just a thought.
