I can not count the times I struggeled to resist buying this game for Windows/Wine.
Now I am happy that I did wait. I'll keep my wallet at the ready.

The german game magazine 'PC GAMES' is writing that the performance gets massively worse in midgame (several hours in) on Windows systems even with only mid sized galaxys on a high end PC.
Would be interesting to hear if you guys are expiriencing the same.

:'( was looking foreward to that one...
As much as these unfullfilled promises of kickstarter projects annoy me(and keep me from investing more often then not) I find it hard to judge a smaller developer that tries to do some really creative stuff harshly for dreaming to big.
Hope they find a way to still make this happen at least close to planned release and keep people updated about the situation. If they come to the conclusion they can under no circumstances do it: well, giving people back their money would be the right thing to do.

Well, the BIG patch was a small 14MB download for linux version but it's still nice to see them bringing updates. Fun fact: a friend running windows said he had to download a couple of hundred MBs for it.
The linux version runs great btw!
Playing GOG version on Linux Mint 17.3 co-op with a friend who is running Windows and and we are having lot's of fun. Did not run into any problems that did not occur on the Windows version as well.
The combat is a little to easy if you do not select at least "tactitian mode" in the beginning (unfortunately you can only change between the normal and easy difficulty once you have started - the more challenging ones need to be selected from the get go).
Anyway there is enough reviews out there in case someone is interested and the Linux version is rock solid.
