EVERSPACE 2 out now, devs focus on Proton for Linux - Steam Deck optimizations planned

I can't see why, since they did not explained, they want E2 to run on Vulkan where Opengl worked so well in the first episode.
And, as I said, I already tried E1 under proton and performace was night and day versus opengl, in favour of the latter.
So thank you proton to help me cut my playlist.

I enjoyed Eeverspace1 without problems on Linux native.
Ue4, opengl, good performance.
Tested the same under proton, worse performance.
Both are running over UE4.

More. One more game to play, thanks to Proton. Because as you can read from the article, the game wouldn't be released for Linux at all were it not for Proton.

Fresh Steam Deck and Steam desktop Beta, Valve dropping old Windows support

Speculating:
since they had the idea of using a browser engine to rebase their client upon, and since that engine, chromium, will not support anything lower than windows 10 starting from the upcoming release, hey've had to stop support for the same platforms too.

Quoting: mr-victoryI can't believe millions of PCs are left out. I didn't really expect that.

I'd expected to be able to play the games I already own on Prime Games via Luna by just paying the base fee.
It is like steam opening a streaming game services and expecting you to pay to play other games or the games you already own on its platform.
No way.

Quoting: Liam DaweMeh, this is unfortunate.Quoting: kokoko3kNo way to play amazon prime games? That's an entirely separate thing. There is an in-progress app for Linux from the community, but I can never remember the name.

Bezel borders look broken in screenshot and videos, I wonder if it is the intended look or just a bug/unontended graphical glitch.
Shader for crt emulation is good, but still, on Retroarch, you get much better look for the content and the bezel itself.
