Quoting: sigzActually the linux build of shadow tactics has some issues, the guards sight cone is graphically broken, it displays fully white where it should be a translucent green.
Are you speaking for your own experience and/or something broken?
Because when i played it all was perfectly fine.

What have you been playing recently, come tell your thoughts

Quoting: kokoko3kSince it has been said it will use proton without wine, i'm very curious to see how it performs!
No. The Stadia port used DXVK, not Proton. You don't get Proton without Wine ;)

We don't know yet exactly what the desktop port will use.
Yeah, I was clearly in coffee need.
But now my curiosity just doubled :)

As Xpander pointed out, "provided that" is the key to the meaning.
English is not my native language, but still, "provided that" = a necessary condition, not a sufficient one.
Not sure if this is really what they mean, tho (as Xpander pointed out too).

Notice the "Brand" Label on the back.
Eh?

-edit-
Right now the one to buy seems to be the RG351M (?)

None of them are that small though. Not a bad thing for me personally, but this one was meant to be key chain sized.
Yes, it seems china makers used their projects to make a bigger one!

QuoteTypically, a filesystem requires an executable file to be flagged as such before the operating system can run it. The most common implementation is part of what is typically referred to as "traditional Unix permissions." Unlike other modern (and many historic) operating systems, this is not supported by Windows or its default filesystems

And there goes many security issues with the ability to exec anything off the internet ...

For the tools itself, it's true that it's a good idea. Might help with some very easily avoidable issues.
I don't get it, "anything off the internet"?
This tool seems to allow you to set executable bits on executable files on files the user wants to execute because he wants to play.

Quoting: kokoko3kAnubody could explain me if (and why) using DXVK as a native library could lead to better performance?
Is it the same as using it via .so and not .dll in wine itself?
I've tried and that way the performance are unchanged.

If you use the lib natively, as in inlining within your code, the compiler can inline many calls, and thus reduce overhead. Overall, the compiler will of course have much more flexibility for optimization. Also, avoiding indirect calls in general is very useful in term of performance.
If you build it as a shared library, you will still avoid the pe loader, and I expect some needless syscall translation. You should also avoid all sync primitives translation issues you would usually have to deal with between losedow$s API and posix API.
I would expect it won't affect average framerate much, but min framerate should take a small boost, especially on more limited configurations.
Thanks!
