With VKD3D maturing, it works now even without the '-dx11' launch option very well.
With the former version of VKD3D the performance was unplayable, then an update improved the performance drastically, but the colors where "wrong", but that got fixed as well.
Still media foundation patches are needed though, so currently the best way to play it is to use Proton-5.21-GE-1 and update manually to VKD3D 2.1.0.
Afaik there was no Unreal Engine update implemented, so it should still work with the method above, when the early access version drops. Also iirc it will reset the savegames again, so we can experience the game from the beginning again.
Atari VCS games really are just plain Linux desktop builds

I see netflix and prime video in the application list.
Are they just wrappers around a chromium browser?
What streaming resolution do they reach?

Stardew Valley is the perfect example of a project made with love and not just for the money.
Even if i don't play that much, i'd buy a dlc, whatever dlc.

Oh, it might be, but still, haven't the developer access to stats like what operating system are using their users?
Well, i asked it:

Just bought Deluxe edition on Steam to support RPG Linux devs, we need more games like this supported natively.
You buy it on fanatical, you give your money to the linux developer which is the same of the windows version.
You activate on steam, you play on steam, they know you are on linux.
What am i missing here? Seriously.
We know that the OS is evaluated in the weeks after the sale. It might be the case that these keys already count as sold, so the target OS is already set in stone - and it defaults to Windows.

Valve continues tweaking the new 'Proton Experimental' for Cyberpunk 2077

Doesn't consoles have early access? No? Why is not an option?
I'm not really interested in the answer and as you say, I'm sure that releasing that way means the maximum profit too.
This is, of course, the main issue and not an excuse.
I repeat, the ecosystem does not work well and yes, users which buy the game and find dozillion bugs and still do not return the defective product, (thus allowing the profit to be, as you said, the maximum) are part of it.
They feed it, they eat it, then they complain about it.
Something isn't right.

Quoting: TheSHEEEPQuoting: kokoko3kFWIW, i'm not pointing the finger to the developers alone, but to the entire ecosystem.Do consoles even have early access?
Wasn't early access an option?
Anyway, I'm sure they were going on the (probably correct) assumption that only a same-day full release on all platforms would get them the maximum amount of purchases & pre-orders.
Early access would quite probably lower the amount of people willing to pre-order or to purchase to begin with.
After all, no game could possibly do justice to the hype that was around Cyberpunk.

Unfinished product and bugged product could be two different things.
By example, new content/better experience means updates.
And yes, bugfix means updates too, but updates does not necessarily means bugfix.
Of course what you say is true and a dev knows it better than you and me, so:
"the more chances", the more the time is needed to test it *BEFORE* release.

Quoting: ArehandoroLet's be fair here, a finished product doesn't exist. Otherwise, updates would be something almost non-existing and rolling release wouldn't even exist.Let's be fair here too, your reasoning seems fallacious to me:

Quoting: ArehandoroThe bigger the project, and the combination of different hardware to be deployed on, the more chances there are to be a bumpy road. This is not an excuse, it is just aggravating the guiltiness.

let's hope the vulkan implementation will be good enough for the developers to switch to it from DX11/12!
