Oh boy.
I can't believe the devs just contacted me just because of my previous post and provided free keys to the dlcs asking me to include the work done in the main build!
Somehow they missed my previous email.

Well then, i'll be back to work as soon as my holidays will end (soon )

Hats off devs!

Edit: managed to complete the translation just in time.
Tomorrow will be out the new dlc with italian language, finally :)

I'm mantaining an italian translation, but is a shame that:
1) they did not implemented (yet?) any way to push it on the workshop so one have to replace another language (almost every given time the game is updated), despite promising it a year ago (i've even sent them the translation too).
2) They did not sent me the dlcs for free to translate them :-P

Did it in the past to allow my daughter to play the game, i don't know if i'll mantain it.

Nice to see another update anyway, given that the switch to vulkan already brings more performance, i wonder how much can we expect now!

Quoting: gardotd426So this sounds like it's only possible for native games, too bad.
Makes little sense otherwise, since wine/proton is a runtime by itself.
if you have trouble with an updated proton, switch to the previous.

DAMN!

I was going to hold off on saying something because i was concerned how the conversation would go but ...
Let me play devil's advocate for a bit.
It's a game.
It's not real.
GTA has you play a gangster that can run over civilians and police officers by the hundreds. Nobody who plays that game wants to do that in real life.
I recently played Underrail where one mission for a proto-fascist faction asked me to gas some rebels. That doesn't mean I'm ok with crimes against humanity.
I don't mean to seem disrispectful but it really does sound the same as the argument that playing D&D puts you in league with the devil.

Yes yes, i know it is a game and it is not real, that's the first thing i wrote in my first reply, but imho the real fun is when game and reality blends, i like to be empathic with a group of pixels, yes.
For me, gaming is immersion; i don't like to play just for the sake of finish the game and i don't like gaming if i cannot impersonate the character.
I remember when i was a kid playing adventures without actually progressing in the story, but i was so fully immersed in the virtual world, that just walking into it was a lot of fun.
Now things are turning different, and my imagination isn't that way anymore, so i really need to like the character to pretend i am him, or else, no fun.

Quoting myself:
Quote[...]my faith in human kind is alerady at minimum levels.[...]
Sorry for that, i can understand that other people are better than me in having fun in doing bad things they never should do in real life.

Factorio? Ethical problems? Would you care to describe them? Not going to contest you, just curious.
From reddit (sorry, i'm not english, but the following describes well what i think):
"I can't help but notice the game is about settling a planet, mining out all of it's resources while polluting the planet, and killing the inhabits that are trying to stop you from destroying their homes."

Even if it is just a game, the idea that you make animals fight each other for your business disturbs me too much.
My child will never play this or any other pokemon related game.

Even Unity ones, but to a less extent.
