How are you starting deus ex? For me it does not start at all...
I'm running Archlinux with a gtx750, proprietary nvidia driver.

So dxmd runs via proton? Last time i tried it did not.
And am i understood? Performance with poroton is the same as on windows? that would be a huge improvement over the slow feral port.

NVIDIA released the 415.22.01 Vulkan driver

Performance hit from ForceFullCompositionPipeline is about 4% on a poor gtx 750, the same of running a compositor.
Also, vsync works for me in many games, so if one game isn't able to enable vsync i think it is his fault.

The Linux version of Civilization VI has been updated with cross-platform multiplayer support

Quoting: GuestStill getting low fps. Have they said something about this??
The performance is terrible.
Maybe it would be better in proton?
I'd try: https://github.com/Holston5/Native2Proton

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is officially coming to Linux in 2019

Quoting: liamdaweThose are very early ports, using OpenGL when Feral had a lot less experience porting to Linux. Unfair to compare against DXVK with Vulkan.
It wasn't my intention to be unfair, i also stated that they are early ports.(i also tried hitman and reported how feral port performed better in the old linked thread)
It is just that there are (old) games that performs better via dxvk, so one doesn't have to take for granted that the linux version will be better (performance wise).

Quoting: liamdaweBingo. Feral's ports are specifically tweaked directly to run as good as they can possibly do it on Linux in the time they have. Quite different to Proton, which has such a big target I would be surprised if a Feral port ever performed worse than DXVK with Steam Play.
One of the first feral ports i played for hours, Grid Autosport, performed better in Proton:

I suspect even DeusEx MD would perform better, i could not try it because it won't even start on my side, but other people say it works, who knows.
Anyway, if is true that proton gives a 20% performance penalty, (like his developer stated on github), then it should perform 10% better on proton (Feral ports is about 30% slower than native dx11).

I think that was more of an issue with Opengl. From the benchmarks I've seen and when playing Rise of the Tomb Raider I was very close to windows performance for my setup.

Yes, could it be.
Translating to DX11->Vulkan is more efficient than DX11->Opengl
Anyway i'm still waiting to start playing DeusExMD (opengl), and i'd like to try via proton to see if i can squeeze some more fps out of it.

Aspyr Media have a big sale going on the Humble Store, some sweet deals to be had

Quoting: kokoko3kBorderlands 2 great DLC's are on sale too, check it out:
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep
Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty

Only problem with that game is that it's a huge time sink. Considered buying the Pre Sequal but too afraid of how it will eat away from my other activities :)
My complete play time till now (GOTY edition completed) is of about 2 days (48 hours), and now i've got 2 more DLC's that will take another 20 hours of playtime.
BL2 is the funnies game i've ever played!

PS:
I don't own the presequel, because it seems it was not done by gearbox guys, so it has not the same humor. i'll pass.
