If this were turn-based, I'd be on it like a Russian troll pretending to be a midwestern factory worker on a Yahoo News comment section.
As it is real time, I'll wait and see.

You guys always make me feel so dumb.
I run Mint with Cinnamon and have not hit a single issue with anything. But I admittedly don't understand most of the words or acronyms in this entire comment section. Thankfully for me, the days of needing to be a computer genius to run Linux are over.
So yeah, consider me to be that guy sitting in the corner nodding politely and occasionally interjecting with improperly timed generic platitudes.

Now I just need to know the release date so I can finish filling out my time-off request for work.
I'm kidding of course - I'll just call in that day.

I have zero twitch skills and suck hardcore at FPS's and I greatly enjoyed the Metro games. There were a couple of parts that I had difficulty with but for the most part, you can play it pretty slow and methodical.

Quoting: tuubiThe Metro games proclaim "full controller support" so I assume it's not all hardcore twitch action, but how's the difficulty? Can I expect to enjoy the story even if I'm not that keen on (or very good at) FPS action?

That sucks. I never had any crashes thankfully, but yeah, if you visit their official forum it's pretty clear that they are a little over their heads. It's a very small team and I don't think that they expected the success they found.
As far as the game goes, I adored it right up until I hit the final dungeon and lost all of my best guys. The prospect of starting over was too daunting.

What game are you truly thankful to have on Linux & SteamOS?

I'm aware of that, but it's not really a valid reason. Crowd funding is not "buying" but it legally could (and should) be considered "investing" and there are a hell of a lot of laws already on the books that make it illegal to intentionally mislead investors.
I realize that these companies protect themselves by calling what they are asking for "donations" but I really think that, if challenged, the law would agree that since future goods are being promised in the form of backer rewards, that "investment" is a more proper term.

I really don't understand why these things are still allowed to happen. Crowd-funding fraud has happened enough times now that I am surprised regulatory laws haven't caught up yet.
