Paradox have updated their handy launcher - should help Linux gamers too

It didn't sucked. Or better, it sucked because it was a launcher, but it didn't sucked as a launcher and for sure not compared to the new launcher. Also the absolute mayhem this thing produced with existing mods configuration is nuts. Another bad pr move from pdx pushing a patch without the necessary testing. And yet another round of censorship on their forums at the expense of angry customers.
But at least this time this didn't affect me: my eu4 stopped work ever since that patch so I'm sitting on the old branch where everything works (thank you steam for the feature). :D

Quoting: eldakingAlso the previous launchers sucked, so apart from compatibility it is an improvement.

Psyonix are ending support for Rocket League on both Linux and macOS (updated)

What you wish for is a class action not a petition. And I'm no lawyer but I'd be surprised if it can be done. It would be to naive on their part (but hey, I'd love to be wrong!).
Every other not legally binding initiative would only grant us another middle finger.

They've already shown you the middle finger once. I don't see why ask for another one.
Many Linux and Mac users asking together for a refund might make them think a bit more about this.

I didn't used that feature very much... but I think it is already like that. Files are downloaded in a dedicated folder in the game folder. And from there the player collects them. Ofc you can copy them and move them wherever you want. In my case, my Nas based cloud.
When you're being sarcastic or silly add some crazy emoticon at the end otherwise people won't understand.

Quoting: ElectricPrismThere is a 0% chance I will buy Soundtracks unless I can manually copy the MP3, FLAC, or whatever files. Is this the case?

Quoting: subNow, that the Epic Game Launcher implements more and more wanted Steam features, it's just a matter of time they reach close parity.
So my guess is we will see Valve being pressured to innovate more in the coming month, smaller and bigger things.
Not bad actually.

Steam for Linux can now run games in a special container

Imho it's just embracing present day tech with its perks.
Then what will follow will ofc be built over present day stuff so yeah, it's also a step forward in the cloud race.

I always thought Half Life 3 would have been a VR title so I was simply waiting until VR was mature enough for the game. Given the price of VR I'm not sold it's the right time yet. Though I guess the argument is that without killer games there will never be enough push for VR to make it get democratic prices. We will see.
Besides, now that HF3 has been officially announced anyone pricked Pitchford on twitter to uphold his stupid pledge regarding B3?
