Microsoft announces new DirectX Shader Compiler that's open source

Openness is a good thing. Whatever reasons Microsoft has for opening their stuff, is good it is open now. But I would advice everyone to be cautious with Microsoft, not because "MS is evil", but because MS is a business.

Accept and welcome any new open project regardless of its precedence, but don't be naive believing BS of the sort "Microsoft <3 Linux".

32-bit Linux distributions are no longer supported by Steam, Steam Web Browser disabled

Quoting: omer666I am often left wondering, if Steam suddenly ceases to work on my system, for any reason, what would happen?

It happened to Mac OSX Snow Leopard users. Suddenly their Steam client updated and bam! no longer ran in their system.

People opened threads on Steam's Community forums about this, but since in Apple's world when there is a new something you ditch the old one and buy the new one they weren't "that many" (in comparison), their petitions weren't heard.

Card battler Faeria will gain 20 hours of single-player content

I like it.

I've been playing it since last week when it went free for a day or so, and it is really entertaining and relaxing.

The best thing is that the matches don't take that long, which make it good for those players with limited time.

Legends of Eisenwald being ported to Linux by Codeweavers, will use Wine

Anything that helps us use Windows less is a good thing to my eyes.

An oficial port means oficial support for our platform and that is always appreciated even if using Wine. I mean, if it were no oficial word about it I would still use Wine anyway...

So let this port be welcome and may their effort be rewarded with generous sales.

Quoting: UncleivanToo bad this news isn't coming from valve.

If this post came from Valve would be a sign of how bad things could be. Usually these kind of post (when posted by the company itself) precede the shutting down of the project.

SteamOS was released barely 6 months ago. And the game scene in Linux in general have never been better. So things are good.

Lolololol seriously?
Why most F2P games tend to screw the QoL instead of looking for creative ways of earning money?

Nonetheless, it amazes me how Jagex has managed to continously evolve Runescape to keep up with the times.

Where did you got that keyboard with the Mint logo? Seems I can only find keyboards with Windows logos for super key.

Shame on you Feral!

Life Is Strange looks like it's being ported to Linux by Feral Interactive

That would be awesome, Feral always do a nice porting job, and this game deserves a native port.

If this happen I'll instantly buy it.
