Quoting: TharvasI hope we soon can choose audio inputs natively as with built in forced microphone recording it is rather annoying. it is fine for now as I mainly use it to record bugs or cheaters to send proof where sound is not needed but I don't think Valve intended this to be it's primary function.
Hmm, you could choose to record your microphone in one of the last betas. There was a checkbox toggle switch for it!
Was i missed was the option not to record default output. Example: whem i play with friends and have mumble (a voice chat client) in the background, they get recorded too.

good to know, I must have missed this toggle!
I agree about recorded audio though, it just makes sense that the game recording per default records the game only and not the whole desktop audio.

let's wait and see though.

it worked 50-50 for me.
having the recording directory set to a tempfs seems to crash the preview of the recording so you don't really know what you are clipping until you export it which was working fast and fine.

How do you like it? And how's the performance for you?

Haven't played a lot myself, just some training and bot fights.
performance is quite good, very fast and I can still adjust downwards if needed.

Who would have thought that a Microsoft Store exclusive title like SoT would be linux-certified one day. what a world we live in. since moving to linux I did not play it anymore, also because I only own the MS-version but not steam and currently I am not willing to rebuy the title.

Dark and Darker first and foremost, Dice & Fold, Dead by Daylight, Manor Lords, For the King (1), Overwatch 2

I hope there is an option to have the cached data in RAM if plenty to spare to not wear down and degrade the SSD too fast and only with the hotkey pressed the clip will be written to disk.

Quoting: EnkhielFrom the "big" 4 MOBAs, I am glad I enjoy Heroes of the Storm the most running excellently on Linux. I feel sorry for those peeps though that will be affected. Maybe give HotS a try :)

I stand by HotS being the best of the lot, even though it never reached the popularity of the others. How's the playerbase nowadays? I always get an urge to go back, but I know a few years ago it seemed like they were winding down development.

I personally think HotS is in a good spot for what it is.
Queue times are very fast if you are not a grand master, and Khaldor is still hosting a lot of enjoyable tournaments.
I'd say give it another shot!
