Hrmm.... I guess I'm a little confused.
I primarily used family sharing in the past between my spouse and I when we had to travel for work.
I guess it's more parent to child, but only if they are in the same physical location sharing?
I guess I'm failing to see relevant use cases. If one has enough money for everyone in the same house to have their own rig, surely they can afford an extra copy of a game for their kids? If it's a more "Shareware" type of idea where they can try the game to see if they like it, well they can just do that on a parent's account.
On top of that, the 1-year cool down seems oddly long. Just thinking of things like separations, children moving out and getting married (new family), co-parenting, studying abroad, etc.

- Multiplayer
- I'm fine with a female protagonist but things felt a little to rated "PG". Games from that genre from Y2k 2000 were like Serious Sam -- where big ( )( ) harpies and kamakazi bomber men would attack you and ambush you like you were playing in a arcade and shoving quarters in the machine to keep playing.
Other games like System Shock were basically a warning as to the dangers of AI and Eugenics -- in an effort to craft the perfect lifeform, accidents happen and the space station and ship are lost. Ironically the flood from Halo 1 was very similar, and Half Life 1 had overlap as well too.
And then there's Duke Nukem -- quick quip badass. A modern day (at the time) Indiana Jones of what boys wanted to be -- successful, confident, irresistible to hot college girls.
Star Wars -- Han Solo -- same thing, Rouge, Badass, Confident, Smuggler -- and the kids wanted to be the fastest and play with light sabers because they were cool.
I need to play more, but living during a time of such a intense cancel culture with political correctness the main character feels bland and uninteresting -- even Samus Aran was a chick pretending to be a dude with big Sxy ( )( ) breka out of the suit when you die. Jack from Chronicles of riddick -- same -- a tomboy that showed that female protagonists can be awesome -- Christmas Jones in 007 World Is Not Enough -- same thing.
Game is missing the salt and pepper, but I do believe that if they played their cards right they could join the ranks of Stardew Valley and Terraria. They'll definitely need to add multiplayer to do that and be willing to take some risks.
And if they do take those risks, the kids of today will think what we thought yesterday -- that when their looser parents complain about something that must make it cool and so they will just play it or like the forbidden thing harder.
This may come as a complete shocker to you, but not every developer is desperate for money. We've already sold more units than expected just making the game that we want to make and sticking with our own vision.
If we were trying to make "the next big thing", we wouldn't have made a pixelated retro shooter with 'confusing' level design and enemy encounters that are extremely unforgiving. We also would have skipped early access entirely if money is all that were after. The game is certainly long enough where we could get away with that.
Multiplayer is not happening. Our audience isn't into that and every throwback shooter that tried multiplayer ended up being dead on arrival with a lot of wasted development time. And even when multiplayer does well, it doesn't take long until players move on.
Selaco is not meant to be for everyone and thats perfectly fine.

If there was cultural references, they went right over my head, lol. I played all three (with a few community patch mods) 2-3 years ago. They were amazing! They were difficult (for me) and it felt like you were part of the world. It really reminded me of games like Morrowind where you had a bit of free reign trying to figure out what to do and how to accomplish your objectives.
Probably makes sense I didn't fully understand the story if it required or relied on some cultural references.
I thought the second was the weakest, as it felt more on rails. But it was still good.
These games made me play the Metro series (the first two games). Which I also enjoyed, Even if they felt more like Dishonored.

I LOVE THIS😂🤣😂🤣
But yeah, I have trouble thinking of a time when I would use it where I can't just walk over and use my PC or Link instead, lol. It still feels weird trying to take it places when I could just read on my phone and have less to carry, 🤷♂️. Guess I'm still in the learning phase!!

I used ClamAV, but it can be finicky with time outs on large files, etc.
Considering how wide open user space can be, I've always been kinda surprised how lacking Linux security has always been with protecting the user. I always chalked it up to the mentality of "The user is on their own" and "We're too smart to download junk or visit a bad website".

Looks like a pretty beefy device. I'd still have no idea what to do with it (to be fair, I've had a steam deck for a year and have barely used it, still can't figure out a use case for it for me).
I remember when Asus had great customer service and good devices, 20 years ago (crap im old!!!). I had 2 of their cell phones and while I loved the first one, I could tell the quality went down a lot on the second and it broke pretty quickly.
It's a shame, they were one of the companies ppl swore by for device quality and performance.

I tried No Man's Sky in 2019 or 2020. It was pretty good. I must admit I bounced off Terreria pretty hard, but maybe the kids will like it. Both are great games!

Ooooo, with the key bind to switch it, i hope it's only a matter of time till they implement alternate hands for us cross hand/eye dominant people!!
Or I could just do it with the key bind manually!! Lol!

Quoting: Purple Library GuyI'm confused as well. Not sure if this is something added in 1.6 (which I haven't had much time to play yet) or something I'm just forgetting already exists.QuoteAdded a special cutscene after you’ve helped your new neighbors grow their family to the max.Wait, are you a midwife in this game?!

I highly recommend playing this game! It's a great remake, although I will admit I have some nostalgia for the original series from when I was a child.
As much as I loved SS2, I always felt it transitioned from survival horror to regular shooter to its determent, the beginning of that game was terrifying.
