Two Worlds II Action RPG Will Apparently Still Be Ported To Linux
10 May 2015 at 11:29 am UTC

Quoting: PJwouldn't have high hopes for this - RealityPump is said to have financial troubles and reached bankruptcy ( source - in PL) .
That is true. However in the same thread saying about Mac/Linux ports, Raidor (apparently a Topware employee) says that most of developers stayed in the company .

On the other hand, Topware (the publisher) is not really reliable or quick in their promises. They promised us Wine wrappers for their older titles 2 years ago and we havent seen these to this day (well, at least not on Linux, because they released a Mac Wine wrapper for JA2: Wildfire and Septerra Core last month. Raidor stated, that these will come to Linux too, eventually.

We first port some of our older titles to OSX and will continue with Linux.

Still, would love to see their games introducing Linux support.

Quoting: GuestIt might be time to change "Games using Wine wrappers (such as The Witcher 2)" since The Witcher 2 has never been using Wine.
This^

More fitting examples: System Shock 2 (Crossover wrapper, available on Steam), Flatout 2 (Wine wrapper, available on GOG).

QuoteIs preventing legitimate customers that use Linux from playing the games worth saving a couple of minutes of support time and the computers of a handful of pirates?
Legitimate? Just pointing out that those 'legitimate' ones want to play games that are not in any way supported for Linux...

Unfortunately, yes. I should have been clearer about that, and have made a minor change to the article to point that out.
Dammit! I think I'll wait for the Haxe remake.
Not 100% sure but I believe the standalone game doesn't need installing anything in your system to work. But it uses Flash, it just might be integrated with the game binary or something like that ;)

Quoting: omer666I know I already said that before, but I won't buy this until the first one is fixed.
Bad choice, as the port of the first one was outsourced and the Linux version of KF2 will be made in-house. That is not really comparable :)

Cant wait for this one! I played about 90 hours of the first KF on Linux, was more fun than Left4Dead2 as a solid piece of coop with friends, even though the port for out platform was full of bugs (but fully playable).

I hope the sequel will blast the hell of my Debian powered gamin PC :D

Linux is PC. Stop using PC as a synonym for windows!
Sorry! You are absolutely right :P

Dear GOL,
In my life, you've played a significant role,
When the life was heavy like a tombstone,
Without you I couldn't have won.

Dear GOL,
Even when you get attacked by a troll,
Don't worry and carry on,
Because there is no other like you, no one.
