Oh no why so much cars again in the trailer. Oh yea I'd like to image my own city, but no one is dreaming of creating the mess of an American one :D let us create actual beautiful cities where I would not only want to be the architect but also one of the citizens.

Trackmania is looking great on Steam Deck and Linux desktop

Nice. Have been using bottles to play TM2020 on the Deck. So much fun. Sadly for some of the more custom maps found online (even in Track of the Day) need to cut down the graphics quite a lot otherwise they simply wont be enjoyable. Gonna install it now over steam and reinstall all my extensions :D Have you tried Openplanet?

edit: A friend suggested using the tweaker plugin to limit the view distance and improve performance quite a lot

Sounds great but i would also love to just be able to continue my alex playthrough. Ive lost game saves multiple times already and got reset back to the early game time and time again. But currently its not even possible to start the game because of the mongoose error. Sad because it was such a great experience. Boneworks is my current replacement at least :)

Vulkan layer for Direct3D 11 & Wine 'DXVK' updated with fixes for Dark Souls 3, Overwatch & more

Quoting: mao_dze_dunI still think they should some idiot proof way to install and keep this up to date. I'm on board with people on the Phoronix board who say this should absolutely be incorporated in wine. You cannot attract a bigger user base to Linux, unless you dumb things down.

I know installing DXVK seems like the simplest thing to a dedicated Linux user, but to the occasional tux casual like myself, it's too much of a hassle. Put it in wine, make DXVK on-off switch and just be done with it. Sadly, from what I understand, Wine developers will never do that.

Also, it would be nice to see performance go up to about 90% of native Windows. The gap is still too big.

That being said, it's nothing short of a miracle, what one developer has managed to achieve in half an year.

In Lutris you can now just click on a button to enable it. No installing of dlls. Pretty convenient.
