Quoting: toorI'm subscribed to the beta, but no update available
It didn't tell me that I had an update available. I had to just restart steam, which got it to update without telling be that there was an update :)
I've done that. And then unsubscribed from the beta and subscribed again. That didn't solve it.
You could try to manually check for an update while opted-in to the beta: Steam->Check for client updates in the top left. At least that did it for me.

Quoting: MaelraneSteam itself is DRM.

Albeit it's the only one I accept and can live with, it is, per definition, DRM.

I don't think so. But maybe we have different definitions of what DRM means.

The Steam client is the very same as GOG Galaxy or the GOG website. You can buy and download games. Valve has their own DRM implementation (part of Steamworks), but it's completely optional. As a developer or publisher, you don't have to use the DRM tools provided by Steam, or your own DRM. You can just not use any DRM and still have your game on Steam.

Don't even try to argue with fanatics, it won't lead anywhere.

Feral Interactive to show off Rise of the Tomb Raider on Linux next week live on Twitch
6 April 2018 at 11:11 am UTC

The predecessor wasn't that good imo, just mediocre and way overhyped. Played more like an interactive movie with annoying QTE's here and there. Forseeable story, crafting, hunting mechanics (that were never used again after the first 30mins of the game), skilling and exploring were rather meh.
But I'm still going to buy the game and support Feral, though.

Quoting: PatolaI recently bought their first one, "Depths of Peril" on GOG (for some reason the linux version is not on Steam)
The Linux version of Depths of Peril is on Steam, though.

Quoting: Alm888Sorry, Paradox, but DRM-free or it didn't happen. I won't give Valve a cent.
Paradox have their own store selling keys. Steam keys though, but Valve doesn't get a cut there.
Whatever your reasons are to boycot Valve

Edit: Paradox games are DRM free, see here.

Powerless is quite possibly one of the worst FPS games I've ever played

Are there any cards linked to it Liam ?
Had the same thought at first, but surprisingly there are no cards.

Quoting: GuestI need to get off my ass and start working on a map or two as well. Most the maps in the workshop are terrible. People are going into the editor and playing with the raise and lower terrain tool then releasing it like it's some big piece of work.
Is the editor available for Linux?

Quoting: ZeloxWell technically Dota 2 isnt free. Or maybe I should say Steam. Because to have a Steam account Im pretty sure you have to buy a game and activate it along with the new Steam account.
I also think the game have to be worth 10$ or more to be able to do this. It isnt a very expensiv cost and Im not sure this will keep griefers or trolls away.

Only some community features are restricted, but you can play F2P games just like everyone else. See here.
Ranked matchmaking requires a phone number, though.
Afterall, Dota 2 is entirely free to play.
