The T'au invade Warhammer 40,000: Gladius in a new expansion out now

I really like what the studio is doing with the game. They started small (4 factions) and added another three factions since the game was released. :-)
I hope they will continue with this and in the end we will end up with turn based version of Dawn Of War, which had 8 playable factions after last datadisc.

This looks like kind of game I would play. The last time I played something similar was the new UFOs (UFO: Aftermath, UFO: Aftershock), which have this realtime+pause tactical mode as well. This will definitely go to my wishlist.

Stuck for a new game? Here's over 50 great games released for Linux in 2019

Quoting: scaineI know Linux users have a reputation for "fixing" stuff, but honestly, if I get a game that doesn't run when I hit the "play" button, I give it a forum topic on steam and if the dev doesn't respond, it's a refund and move on. It's happened... twice? But there's no excuse. Either you're selling to this market, or you're not.

I had a two games that I had the same issue with, but both of them were old titles, so I ended up playing them with Proton instead directly playing Linux version.

And with the above I must say my thanks to developer of Demetrios, which was so kind and responded to my e-mail over weekend and even sent me an old build to try it on my gaming machine.

Quoting: no_information_hereI think there should be some kind of "report game" button on Steam so that games that don't actually work out of the box on linux get a red linux icon or something, to warn buyers.

This sounds like a nice idea, maybe there is a way to propose this feature request to Valve.

QuoteI know how it is, you look at your list of games and think "I need something new!" and then you click around Steam, GOG, Humble, itch and more and end up going back to the safety of what you already know.

I usually have the opposite problem. I open up my library on Steam and I think "I don't know what to play first!" :-D

And this will be a nice list to have before doing nomination for GOTY 2019. :-D

AMD has strong revenue growth again, new next-gen RDNA GPUs coming this year

Quoting: keanHow is the driver support? I am planning to upgrade my CPU and GPU (1600 and 1060) to a 3600/3600x and 5600XT. I had issues in the past with my RX 480, but never with the 1060. Would you recommend switching back to AMD?

The AMD GPU drivers are now part of the kernel, I'm running on AMD RX 590 and don't have any issue at all.

We Happy Few for Linux and Mac being refunded, to get an "unofficial" beta

Quoting: BotonoskiI feel that Microsoft itself is growing closer and closer to straight up gutting Windows 10 and replacing the internals with some kinda Linux-Windows backward-compatible hybrid monstrosity, though that may just be my imagination/bizare-fantasy. If that were to happen I gotta wonder how long, if ever, would it take for devs to move away from the compatibility layer and go full native.

They started by creating a IoT OS that is using Linux kernel, so it's not a fantasy anymore.

This looks similar to Dungeon Keeper. Will be a nice addition to my wishlist :-)

Quoting: LeopardStadia means nothing for Linux since all of those games will have VLK renderers tailored specifially for AMDVLK with no intent to run them on desktop platforms which is dominated by Nvidia hardware. These games will be in the stores with D3D.

I think this situation is slowly changing after AMD started to officially support Open Source drivers.
I was a NVIDIA guy a few years back, but now I'm pretty happy with AMD Radeon RX 590 :-)

This looks really interesting, it reminds me of Wiggles. I will definitely add it to my wishlist.
