New Humble Choice and multiple Humble Bundles are live

For me the itch.io bundles have been excellent. Especially with the bundles where you can pick and choose what to add to your library.

Quoting: toorTheir bundles keep getting shittier and shittier. The time of humblebundle has gone. It's Steam time!

I feel you on this. I got it when had 3 DLCs and I ended it 5x to get the 5 endings at the time but I'm not sure if the story is resolved or not. I'm too exhausted with it to get back in.
I'll give it another go when it's officially retired.

Quoting: mark348I really loved the game when it was in early access, completed it back then, but with all the dlcs I can't get myself to get back into it.

GOG to go through some reorganization after suffering losses

I really like GOG for many years but when they created that launcher it was a really bad move, IMO. The lack of transparency regarding linux native titles of online features is just too much of a turn off for me. So my money is going towards itch.io and direct to devs.

My solution is to just get internet and keep it moving. I can not get into any sub services outside of utilities. Netflix movies will eventually be available at the public library either offline in disc format or online using their own streaming service. I think too many sleep on what's available at their public library (if they have one).
YouTube is the juggernaut my family and I are looking for alternatives to. We use it with Ublock Origins and get all of my shows, movies and music streaming. A few of them are so good that we added them to our patreon list but none of the show streaming services offer what we are looking for. If they only offer a few shows or films we just wait til it comes to the library.

Quoting: EhvisMy solution to that problem: rotation. View stuff on one. Cancel, subscribe to the next and view there, cancel and so on until I'm back at number 1. Won't work for your sports stuff, but hey, if you want that, you're bound to get cheated.
Also, glass fibre internet now and cable tv: cancelled.

I just put in for a refund. This is too much work for me. I was hoping to have something easy RPGs-ish to setup for family while they are visiting since most of my library is arena shooters and arcade fighters.

Quoting: slaapliedjeYeah, this is one of the issues with how people package things. It makes more sense to have a build server set up. Create a repo for the current distributions at time for release, then add a new repo as they come out, and have some post install stuff for upgrades.
This way a new package automatically gets built with the correct dependencies. Problem is getting the build server to handle the main distributions.

Anyone have the beamdog client installed properly? Thought I would give this some support and it's a no good install for POP OS 21.04.

I probably not the target audience but I like Stadia a lot but I'm not the kind of person to buy a lot of games. I still play the games I have on it with friends like Zombie Army 4: Dead War and TR:DE Team Deathmatch. I don't see any game on the horizon for the next 5 to 10 years that are remotely interesting but I will keep playing these with my people til the wheels fall off.

Trouble is brewing over on GOG due to the HITMAN release needing online for some features

I had to tap out all together from GOG. It became too much work for me to find out what is or is not missing in a game I wanted.
A lot of my friends are older gamers that don't even mess with Steam. Getting them onboard with GOG was a mistake as too many of them had to put in for refunds back to back as games they bought had some feature missing due to the requirement of Galaxy.
We ended up going back to Quake, Fightcade, Xonotic and random games on itch.io that have working online MP without a launcher.
