Quoting: dubigrasuHow can I filter out these kind of not (really) gaming related topics?
I filter out topics I'm not interested in by reading the article's title. Works pretty well.
Yeah sure, but I'm asking specifically about the control panel settings.

I think if Liam added a NON-GAMING tag, and added it to articles like this one, then it would solve Dubigrasi's issue (Not wishing to view non-gaming articles.)

I'm quite taken by what I see here, and find the communication idea to be novel and interesting.

For me, Stoneshard, Prodeus, Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are my preferences from the list above. Noting that Serious Sam 4 (not mentioned above) is another that I am eagerly anticipating.

It certainly looks like an appealing game to me. I'm not so fussed about the character creation options myself. Perfectly happy to play a female in Tomb Raider or a male in Serious Sam. And it seems reasonable for the specific human character to be used in this game because humans are lower down on the hierarchical tree in this world, i.e. It is needed for richness of the game story.

While not on Linux officially, Far Cry New Dawn seems to work amazingly well on Linux

Not that I'm especially keen to do this, but I'm interested in the specific steps needed to run an Ubisoft title, including the Ubisoft launcher from Steam Play/Proton without resorting to Lutris. This type of thing (running non-Steam titles on Proton) has been mentioned before on GOL, so if someone is able to point me in the right direction. Or if someone wants to share (non-Lutris) steps here, it would be very appreciated.

Quoting: g000hAnd I've been bartering away my unneeded game keys (second copy, usually). That has been going very well so far.

What's a good way to do that? steamtrades.com, or something else?

Well, after making this Forum Post I began using that trading site and found it to be very transparent (It links to your Steam profile and shows all your transactions for reference). You can observe the various trades I've made so far.

Quoting: PatolaAnd Underworld Ascendant now is Linux native and is 80% off, that's an incredible deal. The game has very good performance, about 130 fps on my 1070 on high. For those who don't know, it's the spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld, and its current mixed ratings is because it had a rough launch, but it is much better now, definitely worth buying!

Just bought Underworld Ascendant myself. Hopefully a bit more cash injection and even more improvements may come through.

Highly rated action rpg rogue-lite 'Unexplored' now has a Linux test build available

Woah. This is great news. I was sufficiently keen on this game that I picked it up (during a sale) to play via Proton. Played 28 hours so far and it has been behaving itself very well on Proton (but I did find I needed to Alt-Tab out and back in again, due to a loading screen glitch).

Finding it very immersive and replayable, and recommending it for anyone who likes this genre of game (rogue-like, permadeath, exploration, testing out unknown loot, different play-styles with different character classes, etc).

I definitely have no regrets buying it, and having a Linux native beta build - well, very happy about that.
