Serious Sam's Bogus Detour is being pirated with permission from the developer

That's a bit harsh. It is one of these retro-style pixel-art games, like "Enter The Gungeon" or "Hammerwatch". The characters are animated fine, the game plays well. The audio is good too with Serious Sam quotes cropping up all over. The different monsters and levels are designed to be like they've come from the 3D Serious Sam FPS games.

Quoting: BeamboomTo be honest... This looks like a game that should be free to begin with. Something that's made in one of those semi automatic "game maker" apps.

Bought the game for Linux a few months back, soon after it was released. Installed it and played it for a while. In my opinion it has decent game play and I was enjoying it, and plan to come back to playing it some more eventually.
Thinking it is a shame that it isn't generating more sales. It is a good game!

So, this is the "Just a shot away" teaser from the Feral Radar.
Looking back at the previous thread, qptain Nemo successfully guessed this game based on Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter Lyrics.
I'm interested in purchase too, but will hold off until it is counted as a Linux sale. (Also noting that I wouldn't be purchasing it if it wasn't coming to Linux.)

Fanatical (used to be Bundlestars) has a nice-ish Starter Bundle (with Slain, Toren, Dungeons II - all work on Linux) and provides Steam keys.
Another decent bundle is this one: TinyBuild Party bundle, with a very good proportion of Linux games.
I bought the Indie Legends 7 bundle - which now seems to have ended - specifically for Kingdom Rush Frontiers, which I've installed and it has been playing great on Linux at 4K resolution.

Noting that it is 25% off on Steam at the moment, and the offer ends on 14th March. So... a few days of Linux build and on Sale, coming up.

Like the combat efficiency and style, quite reminiscent of Wing Chun.

I'm certainly interested in this type of game. It is a fast FPS similar to Serious Sam 3 BFE, Ziggurat, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, Shadow Warrior (2013), and Xonotic.
The game play looks like it'll respond well (Thumbs up from me). But, I'm not so impressed by the character animations and models, and the visuals could be nicer. The problem is... getting beautiful visuals takes money (artists, designers, coders, animators all want to be paid for their efforts). I'm keen to play games which look fantastic *and* play well.
Also, the game play shown is playing very like an arena, so you are basically in a big deathmatch with waves of monsters, rather than exploring levels. Again it's okay, but for me it detracts from the game.

The Linux beta of Arma 3 has been updated to 1.80, compatible with Windows again for a time

Well, here's a few from me - Everspace (already mentioned), Event[0], Diluvion, Stasis, The Banner Saga, Toren, The Silent Age (and Arma 3) - Games which work on Linux but do not advertise themselves as Linux-playable via Linux/SteamOS Icon on Steam Store.
Who knows any more????

Quoting: scaineThe only one I know about it The Swindle, which I wrote about a while back on this site. There are likely to be others, but you really just to hear about them through word of mouth.

Yes, I found that page as well... but... It shows all the working Linux games (2500+) including the ones which have the Icon showing on Steam store. I want to filter out just the ones which work on Linux but don't show a Linux/SteamOS icon on the store.

Quoting: omer666Quoting: g000hYou mentioned Arma 3 as running on Linux, even though in the Steam Store, it is not visible as a Linux / SteamOS title. I'm quite keen to get a list of other similar titles which aren't shown as working on Linux but still work (e.g. Linux experimental betas, etc).
Quite often I buy bundles, and in some cases I'm pretty sure the game is listed as Windows-only, but there's a Linux version lurking there too, if only I knew about it! I tend not to install the Windows games in bundles, unless I really like the game or I know the game works on Linux.
A good example is Everspace, which doesn't show the Linux/SteamOS icon on Steam store, but there is a working Linux version available.
Here you are
