Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander to get an enhanced “Lightspeed Edition”

Does anyone know if there is a good way to get this working full screen on Linux, i.e. Get past the Main Menu buttons with the mouse. I have used the hack below, which forces the game to play in a window, but don't actually want to play it in a window (as I'm on 4K screen and the window mode is pretty small).
Properties>Set Launch Options>"-screen-fullscreen 0"
I haven't messed around too much, but I expect there might be a way to jump to full-screen mode after getting past the main menu (where the problem occurs).
Asking this on 30 Nov 2017, quite some time after this GOL article was released.

The big update to Planet Nomads that adds flight and alien monuments is now out

I decided to grab Planet Nomads. Even though it is Early Access, and very likely that there is more content to come, the fact that they are supporting Linux (and supporting it well - i.e. working builds) encouraged me to go for it.
Played it for 2-3 hours so far, and getting on okay with it. After a little bit of struggle getting to grips with the controls, I'm now proceeding without stumbling. It helped that I watched a gameplay video on Youtube first. Quite pleased that I've managed to avoid dying with my first player so far (Normal difficulty). Note that I am a seasoned 7D2D player, so getting my head around 'survival' isn't a problem.
It's been good fun and playing well for me, so far. I set it on the High Graphics Settings, running at 4K and getting approx 31 FPS on my system. I was impressed how small a download it is... Only about 1.5 GB download size (so far).
Fingers crossed that it keeps on getting better and more interesting content.
As it stands right now (the current content) I think I'm happy with the value for money (paid $13 on Sale).

I've done something *dirty*... Bought a Windows game - The Witcher 3: GOTY at 60% discount, on GOG. BUT... I did get Star Crawlers (Linux game) as a freebie. Also I just bought a load of Linux games on Steam, in their Black Friday sale.
Looks like I'm going to be checking out WINE in the not so distant future.
Some of the other games I decided to grab (Steam):
Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten (66% off)
Fight The Dragon (50% off)
Anomaly Bundle - finished off the set, only paying for the ones I didn't own (93% off)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - A Criminal Past DLC (66% off)
Hard West - Scars of Freedom DLC (80% off)
Crush Your Enemies (90% off)
And also got Dust: An Elysian Tale off GOG (80% off) for good measure.

Just bought The Signal From Tölva in the Steam Black Friday Sale - Actually bought the Robot Systems Bundle (already owned Sir, You Are Being Hunted, which I wasn't re-charged for) and it worked out cheaper than the single game, and got an extra game as well.

Actually, I'm currently p1ssed off that the Nintendo Switch has got Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, but we don't. I bet *more* Linux players would buy Skyrim than Switch owners.

Noting that the game StarCrawlers on GOG special offer is for Linux. Spend $15 on GOG and get it added to your account as an extra. I wonder if more games are going to be added to GOG Black Friday Sale tomorrow.

More than a year since Shadow Warrior 2 was released to Windows (13 Oct 2016), it's about time that came out on Linux :/
The rather flashy shoot 'em up 'PAWARUMI' is now on Linux

Woah! Looks like a Fantastic Shoot-Em Up. Adding this to my Wishlist.
Other fave shmups of mine are: Sky Force Anniversary, Void Invaders, Syder Arcade, Steredenn, Asteroid Bounty Hunter.
And freebie shmup, usually in your Linux package manager: Chromium BSU.

Big fan of the original Star Control games. Both the Melee Combat game, and the Space Adventure. In Star Control Melee Combat, used to select a small fleet with a friend. And then play each ship one at a time, against the friend, until one or other of you ran out of ships. Fantastic competitive arcade action. Very old-skool play - both using half of the same keyboard.
Added this new game to my Wishlist.
