Quoting: slaapliedjeI wonder if there was an alternate version of macOSelementary OS?
Quoting: slaapliedjeif Apple would end up doing a lot of the things that they have done in past. They are going to use ARM processors for their next computers and turn macOS into iOS, locked down completely and without x86 compatibility.

Quoting: DefaultX-odYeah right, yet again Canonical is guilty that Linux Mint uses Ubuntu's repositories. Who else to blame?Canonical does weird things these days, like dropping 32-bit compatibility. They think they are Apple and their users are brainwashed too and will accept anything. But they are wrong, and there is a possibility that Ubuntu (and therefore Mint) will eventually become unusable and Ubuntu users will have to migrate.

Mint should switch its base from Ubuntu to Arch or something and be free from controversial decisions of Canonical.

Quoting: DefaultX-odReason is snapshaming. And it's should be stopped! If I understand correctly, Chromium has been removed from APT repos too. Or not?

I've read Chromium browser was removed from the official repositories. What was the reason for that?
What have you been playing recently and what's your pick this weekend?

Rage 2. I expected it to run perfectly along with other id Tech games, but, in actual fact, it crashes all the time. Native Vulkan is awesome, they said. Day-1 on Proton, they said...

The Messenger with Proton-GE. A nice Ninja Gaiden-like game with humorous dialogues. Bosses can be tough though, I'm stuck at the Devil boss.
I also have downloaded a bunch of new demos on Steam, played none yet.

QuoteThey've also seen some controversy elsewhere. In the trailer at about 0:46, you can see characters chasing the protagonist wearing masks. Apparently this caused a stir as some claimed it was a racial stereotype. The team released a statement on Facebook to apologize and they will be adjusting that model to remove the dreadlocks, change their "bold lips", skin tone and change the dart blower "so it looks less like a joint".Isn't that just an African tribal mask? Isn't a man at the beginning of the video shown as a stereotypical British gentleman? Is Crash Bandicoot racist now too?

Quoting: scaine"Just" an obfuscator? Weirdly, that sounds like you're defending it.You've said that it messes with an OS kernel, I've said it doesn't. I don't like Denuvo either. It still doesn't let me play my games sometimes, e.g when I lose my Internet connection. Yet I prefer Steam over GOG.

Steam DRM, on the other hand, prevent Linux gamers from playing a bunch of PS360 era games: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/753. Those games run fine with cracked exes though.

Quoting: scaineDenuvo is a kernel driver for DRM, as well as anti-cheat.Denuvo anti-cheat is, but Denuvo anti-tamper is just an obfuscator. It hurts performance on weak CPUs but doesn't mess with an OS afaik.
