Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoIf you switch to PS4, you need to buy the games again... Why?
Because console gaming sucks.
Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoBut is the year 2018..
Those who didn't join Steam for Linux then, They will never do it, because there are more and more AAA windows exclusives that will NEVER be ported to Linux...
Said the guy who had been using Windows XP in 2015. Do you understand that Linux community is growing and more people switches to Linux every day? That's like saying "there's no point in buying PS4 because there are more and more Switch exclusives that will NEVER be ported to PS4."

Quoting: DrMcCoyI already own the base game (through some bundle, I guess?). How important are the DLCs? Are they adding stuff to the end of the game or into the middle? I.e. do I need to buy the season pass thing before playing? Or can I push that to after I finished the main game (if at all)? I don't care about multiplayer, just single-player stuff.

For anybody who has played it: how does it compare to the previous 2013 Tomb Raider game? There I found the story to be really quite bad, with Lara being suprised about stuff that was very obvious a dozen hours ago. And the collection stuff was too over-to-the, and the quick-time events were annoying.
The DLCs are:
1. Baba Yaga is a story DLC available in-game. It's ok, but doesn't include actual Baba Yaga, so I was disappointed. I suspect it was cut from the base game and sold separately.
2. Cold Darkness is killing waves of zombies. It sucks.
3. Endurance mode is kinda Don't Starve in 3D. It's fun but repetitive. I'd say, get Don't Starve or The Long Dark instead.
4. 20 Year Celebration Pack is a short walking simulator.

I think the season pass is a rip-off and you won't lose anything if you don't buy it. Get in on a big sale if you want, but definitely not for a full price.

I like this game slightly more than the previous one. It almost has no QTEs, it has actual tombs to raid and some optional quests from NPCs. But the story is still written by Rhianna Pratchet and it's even worse than in TR 2013.

> For NVIDIA GPU users, you will need the latest 396.18 beta driver at a minimum.

I tried to install 396.18, it crashed my system, and I had to go back to 390.48. Damn Nvidia.

RUINER is looking good on Linux, official non-beta build due on Monday
13 April 2018 at 3:20 pm UTC

I finished it yesterday. It crashed twice and didn't always perform good, but was playable. Steam is downloading a 5.7 GB update now, I'm planning to play New Game+ after that. It's in the current Humble Mothly Bundle, by the way.

Shovel Knight sells 2 million copies, Linux sales account for 1.1% of Steam sales

I know this isn't a presise formula, I just wanted to get an approximate number. I know maths. The right calculations are:
1. Windows sales are 24.4% of 2M ⇒ 2M × 24.4% = 488,000;
2. That's 93.5% of overall PC sales which are 488,000 ÷ 93.5% = 521,925 copies;
3. Linux sales are 1.1% of this number, so it's 521,925 × 1.1% = 5,741.

Still close enough to 2M × 24.4% × 1.1% = 5,368.

That means about 5,000 copies on Linux (1.1% of 24.4% of 2M).

Quoting: coesetaThe QTEs will annoy me again, I already know that, I just hope the story is good enough so that I will finish it. Can't feral add a skip button for them, pretty please? :)
AFAIR, there are very few of QTEs in comparison with TR 2013. But the story is even worse.

Quoting: EhvisI wonder why they chose to stream the Linux version when Mac version is releasing two days later.
Probably because Linux gaming is much more popular than macOS.
