Quoting: Guest0 DRM-free game in this sale, Humble Bundle is such a great key reseller store…
They sell what they got. If Team17 decided to provide with Steam keys only, it's not HB's fault.

I've tried the demo, it looks nice. I'll wait until the developers add a single player mode.

Quoting: jarhead_hI genuinely don't understand why Nintendo and Sony haven't followed Sega's lead and bundled together old games for sale with a working freeware emulator.
But they do sell their old games run by emulators. Only on their own platforms though. Afaik, many Xbox and X360 games are available on XOne as well. Sega don't have their own consoles anymore, so Steam to the rescue.
Quoting: ArtenDon't forget run it with original emulator from steam for few minutes, so it count as linux into sels statistics. :)
Doesn't it count as Linux even if you don't play it?

The best thing in the SMD Classics collection on Steam is that it has Workshop support with translated Japanese versions, hacks, etc.
Quoting: elmapulfree is still expensive considering you will need an expensive machine to use their emulator.
QuoteOS: Ubuntu 16.10 or higher
Processor: Intel i3-2100 or AMD Phenom II X4 940 or equivalent dual core CPU
Graphics: NVidia GeForce GTX 280 or ATI Radeon HD 6630 or equivalent DirectX® 9c or higher 1GB VRam
You still can use any SMD emulator for these ROMs.

Quoting: scaineYou describe Hollow Knight... then recommend Hollow Knight??? Don't forget how useless HK's map is, or that you don't even have a map until you randomly stumble upon the map maker. Sheesh!
HK has fast movement and combat, comfortable jumping, HP regaining from enemies. I haven't had any problems with its map. The map pieces are impossible to miss, and they are located near area entrances. If you want to see really bad map implementation, look at Feudal Alloy. For me, HK is the best metroidvania ever, and I compare other games with it. I'm glad you are enjoying Blasphemous, but I don't like it myself.

Quoting: GuestCould you go into some more detail about what parts you found boring?
Lots of backtracking, lack of fast travel stations, slow movement speed. Every enemy can kill you easily, then you'll have to return to your corpse, Dark Souls-style, otherwise after every death you'll be getting less and less currency points, therefore more tiresome grinding. Janky platforming. Upgrades are useless. Most of things you'll find are lore text, uninteresting and hard to read. I'd recommend to play Hollow Knight instead. Or maybe Minoria, it is similar to Blasphemous in many aspects, but better. Read negative reviews on Steam, they explain defects of this game in detail. It should have been a platformer game, like Slain, IMO.

Frankly, I didn't like this game much when I played it with Proton. Too difficult, slow and simply boring. It looks good but it's painful to play it.

Restarting was effective, thanks.
