Looks like Harebrained Schemes are working on the Linux build of BATTLETECH now

Well, the problem with it, at least on my side, is not that I'm offended or something by the company not giving us the day-1-release. It's just a time thing. It's easy to lose interest. There are so many games coming to linux, that I don't even know what to play next. And fresh games are just more interesting. There are older games that I will buy instantly, when ported to linux. Like life is strange: bts for example. But these are scarce.

Quoting: liamdaweWhile it sucks it had a delay, it is still coming. We should still show companies our love and support for bothering in the first place (as long as the game doesn't suck obviously), the amount of companies that act like Linux doesn't exist is ridiculous (for various reasons, not arguing the reasons behind them doing so).
It is true a delayed release can hurt sales, absolutely, but let's not make that so because we're turning our noses up at it just because it was delayed. Imagine if the majority did the same for Aspyr or Feral releases, which can be years after the Windows game release, we would be fucked.

Well, it's about time. I grew up with Battletech on the Amiga, and it was one of my most played games. I was really hyped about the game and hoping for a day 1 release. Instabuy at realease! But ... nah, now it came pretty much out of my sight. Maybe I'll get it at a sale.
I never really believed that, but now it seems to me that the date of release actually does make a diffenrence for the number of sales. In a way, that's a sad thing for us linux gamers.

I did not know "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice" until I read these comments ... and now I want it! It looks really amazing! So, Feral, if this is not it, you know what to do next

Does anyone know if they fixed the "Your game appears to be using modified data" bug? Last time I tried I could not play multiplayer games with Windows-users. I was really looking forward to that gaming session...
The latest Steam Client update is quite a big one pulling in lots from previous beta versions

That would be even better. The scaled fonts and images took me some time getting used to. But finally I can USE the shop via client. Before, that was almost impossible on my 27" 4K screen.
Edit: And Yes, the Steam client does act weird sometimes when resized / moved around on my Xubuntu machine, too.

Quoting: GuestNice! I'm happy that they did this scaling thing for users with HighDPI screens! That is a huge improvement. In next update would love to see fractional scaling (non-interger values) like 1.5 and so on :) that would be perfect! As now I'm using 28" 4K UHD Screen and I scale everything to 150% (1.5 ratio).

Thank you Valve, this is awesome! I was hoping for this quite some time. Finally the client is usable in UHD on Linux.

I like this attempt of Valve to support Linux / Mac gamers. Sadly, this is (almost) only useful for people dual-booting as they keep an eye on both worlds ...

I have lost about 115h hours to Darkest Dungeon (+DLCs), so I think I might get "The Color of Madness" as well.
What have you been playing on Linux lately and what do you think?

Right now, my "Go-To-Games" are:
Borderlands 2 ... still rocks in multiplayer
7 Days To Die ... always fun to build something new.
Dying Light ... having a hard time with it in single player.
Darkest Dungeon ... very unique and awesome.
Black Ice ... after reading about it on GOL again. Love it! Sadly I do have mouse realated Problems with it.
and, of course, when I have a short amount of time to kill, Pix the Cat.
