Yeah, you need one of each class, and a ton of medics to do the fighting haha.

I'd say they're strongest with a team of fully leveled up medics that can support one another (and fully revive one another). Of course, engineers are also critical, and other classes can have their functions also.

ET: Legacy still has an active community nowadays, although the skill level is high given some players have been around for more than 15 years now. It's one of the earlier successful examples of a class-based multiplayer FPS, but class layout isn't quite as restrictive as they would be in a game such as Team Fortress 2 (medics are really strong fighters, for instance).
If you're a new player, I recommend playing on the TeamMuppet Legacy public server. It may take a bit to get used to the gameplay, but I think it's worth it :)

I share the same concerns with the Microsoft account... but the problem fixed itself for me. Now that I got hooked to Vintage Story, there is no way I can ever come back to Minecraft.

Glad to see it come back, it's actually a really fun game. A throwback to simpler times, but once you start playing, time flies and when you look up again, it's 4 AM and you wonder how the last 12h passed so fast.
Valheim is just an incredible experience you need to play

I've been playing it and enjoying it a lot too. Is it still rough on the edges in places? Yes. Is it the most fun I've had in a while? Yes! Does it feel like a complete game? No. Is it still better than most AAA release in its current state? Hell yes!
The tenth Norse world sure is busy as Valheim hits 5 million sold

Yeah, I have a level 3 axe, a level 2 pick axe and a level 3 helmet and that's it, I'm done with bronze. I wish I didn't upgrade them except for the axe, the increased durability comes in handy. Oh, I made a few nails too. Troll hide armor should get me through to the iron age and is much much easier acquire and craft than bronze.

Played it quite a bit now, coming from Vintage Story. My overall impression is positive.... But... In single player it has some really rough edges. Battles are a chore if you are not well rested, you will always be out of stamina and be at a great disadvantage because monsters don't have limited stamina like you do, and there's no one else to help you. When well rested and fed though, combat is really, really fun.
The main problem I see right now is the amount of grinding required to craft stuff past the stone age. I'm used to things taking a long time, as I said earlier, coming from Vintage Story, but mining in Valheim is just not fun at all. It's a huge hassle, and you will spend hours doing it. It takes way too much material to upgrade your items and armors. I'm pretty sure that they will change that before the release, as the feedback from everyone seems to be the same.
If you are not in a hurry to try the game, and don't plan to do multiplayer, I would recommend waiting until the game is closer to release and the game balance is improved.
