I'm a bit optimist since they didn't mention Steam, so I hope we'll see it on GOG too!
Valheim is just an incredible experience you need to play

Yeah, but we know the chances are pretty low, unfortunately.
Yeah I know, let's hope we get a "nice" release after the alpha (GOG or itch with multiplayer available for Linux players).

It's really up to developers how to implement multiplayer. No one is forcing them to use GOG client for it. They can roll out their own servers through whatever cloud provider they want for example instead of being tied to Steam.

Quoting: ShmerlQuoting: CyrilYeah I'm afraid that a GOG release won't happen too (as for Linux it would be a shame to have it single player only IMO). But maybe the game will come back on itch.io and that would be awesome!
The game was already on itch.io and developer pulled it from there.

Still, big up for the devs! It's really nice to see a popular game like this with Linux support.

Probably it won't happen, for Linux. As GOG games usually depends on GOG client for multiplayer and that is like the real deal of the game, until an official GOG client on Linux happens (never) chances are pretty much zero.
Good thing we have Steam though. Fully supports the OS of our choice.

Not to mention that our wonderful government seem perfectly happy to extradite citizens to the US for actions performed in the UK and not in contravention of UK law.
All hail the glorious trade deal i suspect that will stop once the trade deal has been signed, however our copywrite laws do mirror the US ones David Cameron saw to that in 2014 with the Millenium act which made all the isps turn over their records about who downloaded what and introduced the three strikes rule. Though ISPS are not keen on using because they lose customers when they try to enforce it.

Because dude, all of that services (same as Facebook...) aren't free, you pay/paid with your data, don't forget their income is mostly ads...
I prefer to lose money than give away my data to any corporations, governments etc.
