About the economic/politic off topic, I can recommend to read The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein.

About the Nvidia, primary topic, I don't care about theses new cards.

Is there any chance that it will be available DRM-Free, like on GOG, like some other recent Paradox games?

There is no Linux native build for Prodeus alpha. What are you talking about?

Uh.... shit, really? I must have been playing in Proton the whole time without realising.

I don't know if it's a good or bad thing...

Intel have been working on Xe for quite a while now. Actual real-world performance, and how much it's directed towards gaming rather than machine learning, are still to be determined, of course.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoThey should calm down and release new GPUs every three years and not every year.
I'll freely admit that I find AMD's products and release schedule confusing, but on the Nvidia side:
Fermi 2010
Kepler 2012
Maxwell 2014
Pascal 2016
Turing 2018
Consumer Ampere? 2020

You don't have to buy a new card every generation if you don't want to.

If you skip a generation or two, you'll get larger performance boost compared to what you had before. Not every generation is going to double your FPS, but if you wait as long as I have, that is likely going to happen. I still have GTX 970...

I still have a GTX 780.

This seems like a big security concern to me. Imagine if you open your password manager to see your bank account passwords or whatever and this software records JPGs of that in your disk?

Yeah exactly, that's a concern. At the least ReplaySorcery is Free Software but Free Software doesn't mean "without security issues" and one guy could be able to exploit it one day...
Are we paranoid?

It's still a nice soft IMO, but like I say, using a script to stop it after a gaming session seems "fair" enough.
