It's a long process and I'd only recommend doing it for those PS3 exclusive titles out there. Like I ripped Red Dead Redemption so I could play it on my PC. Then again it was random how it'd load with the version of RPCS3 that I was using, so decided to just fix the laser in my fat PS3 :P

It would be interesting to have your feedback about the process, what softwares did you use, difficulties you encountered etc.
Sadly my Blu-ray drive is apparently not compatible to dumping PS3 discs.

For now I only did one mitigated test with a pirated game but of course I intend to buy a compatible drive and some PS3 discs to dumping them myself in the future.
I'm particularly waiting for this goal/feature "Support booting from original game discs." will be quite useful IMHO.

Good news! After finishing the game some weeks ago, It was very nice but I was kind of frustrated to not be able to buy all items and cards in my game. So until now I was farming to get the full set (items, upgrades...) in Legend difficulty.
So for sure, I will play this NG+!

Edit: I checked, the update is not available on GOG yet for the Linux build.

I just noticed this as well! I love the AUR community.

But, I tried it and somehow after starting it and entering my root nothing happened. So I got a bit scared and uninstalled asap. The idea of giving root and then nothing happening is scary.

I understand it needs root to change stuff hardware wise, but still...

Works fine apparently on my side, but that's because it launched on the system-tray, did you look at it?

That's totally fine, there is no need to rush to use unpackaged tools. Eventually distro maintainers will package it, if they'll find it interesting, or someone asks them to. But it can take a long time in my experience, unless something becomes quite popular.

And That's why I find the AUR quite useful! And maybe that's why it's more easy for my point of view than on other distributions.
